Publisher's summary

I was sent to Isaiah Ranch for a second chance at life—not love.

For two years, I’ve ignored the presence of the beautiful man whose heart I broke. Despite working on the same ranch, searching for the same redemption, I’ve managed to avoid Reed.

Years ago, I walked away because Reed deserved better than a pathetic loser like me. He was destined for greater things, and I would only drag him down. I left him to save him, breaking both our hearts.

But my luck has run out. Circumstances force Reed and me together, and it turns out our flame was never extinguished. If anything, it burns hotter and brighter now we’re older.

It’s the second chance I never thought I’d get.

When history repeats itself, and a false allegation threatens not just Reed’s freedom but the love we’ve rekindled, I’ll do whatever it takes to find the real culprit and clear Reed’s name.

Because this time, I’m not walking away.

Great second chance romance

Another great installment in this series and Michael Dean is perfect to read the gritty parts. This book can stand alone, but I feel like it’s best enjoyed having read the other two books, because the timelines overlap. The romance of Leon and Reid melds with a ranch mystery and danger from an unexpected source. You will fall in love with these two.

Great book

This was a great book Michael Dean did wonders for Reed and Leon's personalities as well as the pain and love they still have for each other. I really enjoyed Reed and Leon story. These two were really close once, then life happened. Now, with their own story behind them, are back at Isiah Ranch and these to still have the pull towards the other but they have their work cut out for them to get their HEA.

A phenomenal story told by a phenomenal narrator

The final entry in the Isaiah Ranch series, Romeo Alexander’s “Last Chance Love,” brings the series to an epic and memorable conclusion. Focusing on the relationship between Reed and Leon, this installment has become my favorite of the series. Michael Dean did an amazing job narrating the story. This slow-burning second-chance romance is beautifully laid out, offering readers a deeper understanding of Reed and Leon. And Dean match that perfectly with giving us a performance that make those listen feel a part of the experience.

I highly recommend listening to the audiobook after reading the novel. The experience of the narration brings life to Romeo's novel.

I Enjoyed It

I was happy to get the chance to listen to this on audiobook narrated by Michael Dean since I'd just read it less than two months ago. He did a good job bringing these characters to life and it was easy to tell who was who.

Story review:

'And I pushed open the doors, walking out into the welcome embrace of the sun as I held his hand.'

I was never interested in ranch romance, or anything western or cowboy themed. But I fell in love with the first book of Isaiah Ranch as it was so much much than I imagined it would be, and have been addicted to the series ever since. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved both Leon and Reed. The two have history before drifting apart, and I do enjoy a second chance romance. One that Leon will step up to ensure he doesn't lose again. I liked the banter and chemistry between them. When the allegations came up, figuring out who was behind it kept me riveted.

A rekindled love

Leon and Reed were friends and then lovers back in high school. They promised to keep in touch when Reed goes off to college. Leon has the responsibility of looking after his younger brothers. When things get rough Leon's life spirals of control and he ends up in prison. He is sent to the Isaiah Ranch for a second chance. After two years he is a mentor, and leaders of the program pair him and Reed together.

Reed went to jail for failure to report a person that was stealing drugs at the hospital he worked. Now he works at the Clinic at the Isaiah Ranch. When him and Leon are paired together sparks fly. Will history repeat itself or will Leon be able to help his man?

The narrator did a really good job but I would have preferred two different voices
