Publisher's summary

Say goodbye to scratching your head in confusion. This LLC audiobook could be the answer you're looking for.

A limited liability company (LLC) can be the right choice for any business owner seeking to reduce liability and protect his or her assets. This type of entity has several advantages over operating a sole proprietorship or partnership. Unlike a sole proprietorship or partnership, an LLC shields the owner or owners from liability, and unlike a more complex corporation, management structure is loose, there is no board of directors to answer to, and with an LLC being a pass-through organization, no double taxation which corporations are subject to unless one elects to be taxed as a C or S corporation.

In this audiobook, you will discover the ins and outs of an LLC and find out if it’s right for you.

Here are just some of the topics that are discussed within this audiobook:

  • LLC’s explained, pros, cons
  • LLC case law: A cautionary tale
  • LLC and piercing the corporate veil
  • Steps to starting an LLC
  • LLC state-specific guidelines
  • LLC hiring tips
  • LLC accounting explained
  • LLC taxes
  • Transitioning an existing business into an LLC
  • Dissolution of an LLC
  • And much more

DO YOU WANT TO BE YOUR OWN BOSS?

I loved this book, because it explained a lot about not only LLCs, but about corporations and sole proprietorships as well. This is my first time reading a book about creating a business.

Easy to understand

I did not know much about converting different types of businesses into LLC's before listening to this guide. I now know more about the routines and rules of taxations for this type of business as well. The book is very solid and well-written, if you are seriously interested in learning more about LLC, then I can really recommend this one!

Good way to start.

This was well written and I was able to read it entirely with total understanding. It eased my mind about the differences between corporations, LLCs, and Sole Proprietorship. It helped me a lot.

Short and to the point

This is a good overview of LLCs and their relationship to other business entity types. Nice foundation for future more in-depth knowledge.

Excellent overview of LLC

This book definitely opened my eyes to the pros and cons of starting a Limited Liability company, and I've actually decided to hold off on creating an LLC now until I get revenue coming in on a higher level. This decision is based on the information provided in this book.

More of a list of definitions

No practical information, it feels like he just read the summaries from Wikipedia. It does not really come from a real world practical perspective.

No real advice, just headlines and even reads the info for each individual state for the entire middle of the book.
