About this listen

I can buy my secretary’s submission—or I can take it the hard way.
My ex-wife’s fatal car crash left me with a cruel gift:
A daughter I never knew I had.

I am a billionaire. A mob boss. A titan.
Not a babysitter.

I need a woman’s touch to help raise my daughter.
My secretary doesn’t know it yet, but her life is about to change.
Charlotte is gorgeous. Feisty.

And best of all…
Desperate.

So from now on, we’re going to do things my way.
It starts with five little words:
“Let me own you, kitten.”

Kostya is a stand-alone single-dad mafia billionaire romance.

Holy heck

This was a good one and kept me hooked all the way through. Kinda wish for an epilogue meh. The narration was a bit off sound wise, a change in volume but I’m still here

Good read

Story was a good listen and had enough highs and lows to keep you listening. There were a couple eye roll worthy moments, because honestly anyone with common sense wouldn’t try some of the stuff the female main character did but if you can get past that you’ll enjoy the overall story.

I want to smack Charlotte

I did like the story but it didn't make sense to me at times because why in the world would Charlotte follow him to a hotel with a recorder. Her plan was clearly not thought out. what was she going to do. Her mother was nuts and her sister was terrible. Then the book just ended.

Good listen

I like the story line but did not like the ending it was so not final the description of the story maybe led to a different storyline but this was not disappointing just different

Really liked it

I generally really like this author, but the stories are always duets, and by the time I finish both books, I am over their drama. I think that is why I enjoyed this one so much, it was a standalone! The plot was similar to all of her other books, so I was pretty sure how it was going to go, but I still liked it. I wish she did more standalones, and less duets, because I'd be all over them. I listened to the audio for this one, and both narrators were new to me. Almost right away, I decided that I didn't like their voices, but at the same time, I REALLY enjoyed them. It was the weirdest thing. They were both good, but there was something that put me off. As I said, I liked them, and it didn't ruin the story, and I can't even point out what it was that bugged me. Maybe that's all in my head?

Kostya is a heart throb

Kostya is everything he should be.... the heroine... not so much. It's hard for me to believe that someone so opposed to babysitting and completely unconcerned about the child having just lost her Mother is somehow great with her from the start ... The h doesn't have any sweet and motherly internal dialogue for most of the book..When she thinks about the child it is sterile; she's more concerned about her bills, her hot boss and her mother... all reasons she needs to do a good job with the girl. Her feeling for the baby pop up out of no where... somewhere between amazing sex and orgasms...

Good read

I enjoy reading this author’ book and it was cool to listen to. If you look Mafia Romance then would recommend reading/listening to this story

Charlotte and Kostya

This book was very good. Kostya was every bit the Bratva boss, especially when he said he would kill Charlotte if he had to. After his ex left him, he didn't want to love again. He felt it made him weak and he could be very cold at times. She died and left him with a very young daughter. Charlotte worked for him but he offered her a huge raise to take care of his daughter. He was attracted to her and never acted on it until the night she goes to the house that sat at the back of his mansion's property because she saw the light on. Later in the book things happen, thanks to her mother, that make Kostya feel he cannot trust her and she may need to be eliminated. The ending felt like it was wrapped up too quickly. Timothy G Little and Danielle Lorentz did a great job with the narration.

Not really sure if this should be a 2 or 3 star.

This was just okay. In the beginning I felt like there was something building between the main characters but then things just fell flat after about 30% into the story. My other issue is that the whole mafia storyline just seemed to far fetched.
