About this listen

When the vital alliance between Earth and the Eon Empire depends on her playing war games with an arrogant, infuriating Eon warrior, what could go wrong?

Terran Captain Allie Borden has her orders. Take her ship, the Divergent, and strengthen the alliance with the Eon by carrying out training exercises with the Eon warship, the Desteron. The only problem...one annoying warrior who gets on her nerves like nobody else. Forced to work with Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis, Allie finds her diplomacy skills stretched to the limit...and her body betraying her with a white-hot desire that’s getting hard to ignore.

Brack Thann-Felis is dedicated to his ship, his warriors, and his job. Watching his parents’ disastrous marriage has ensured that he will never mate or fall in love. Working with feisty, opinionated Allie tests his patience, but the more time he spends with the dedicated captain, the more he finds he can’t stay away from her.

As mysterious, dangerous sabotage events strike their ships, it becomes evident that someone wants their alliance to fail. They might have traitors among their crew and they both know it has to lead back to their enemy - the ravenous insectoid Kantos. Soon, Brack and Allie find themselves in a fight for their lives, with only each other to depend on, and a growing desire that will not be denied.

Anna Hackett paired with Vivienne Leheny is a winning pair!

The best part of this series are the action/fight scenes. Their passionate natures are clear from the beginning when Captain Allie Borden meets Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis for the first time. Both are passionately dedicated to their jobs and are scarred by life’s lessons on love and happiness. During a training excursion, they encounter the Kantos and have to fight together for their lives. Despite their attempt to maintain a platonic working relationship, the are overwhelmed with admiration for each other and love their competitive edge. Look out bugs!

Action Packed!

This is the fourth book in the Eon Warriors series, a Sci-Fi Romance. Allie and Brack's story is entertaining! They are two strong characters. I liked their banter! The storyline is fast-paced, and action packed. Vivienne Leheny did a great job with the narration.

Aliens 👽 and Earthlings!!

Anna Hackett really sparks your imagination with the creative flair these alien stories have taken. Allie, an Earth Captain, and Brack, an Eon warrior, acquaintance didn’t begin under the best circumstances and almost hit nuclear proportions due to sabotage from a common enemy!! However, after some training exercises opened the eyes of both crews, new insights helped them to form a better understanding of one another!! Brack and Allie both lower their guard by revealing what situations shaped the negative feelings they previously had. After an emotional purge they both dive headfirst into a relationship that is tested by alien attempts at sabotage, abductions and lots of adventure. Vivienne Leheny’s narration is wonderfully performed and really brought the characters to life!!

Not one to be missed!

Anna Hackett does it again with a fantastic, fast-paced aci-fi romance story. I love how she introduces new bugs and experiences. Captain Allie and 2nd Commander Brack create sparks from the beginning to the end are just plain fun.

Vivienne Leheny is the perfect combination with Hackett. her vocal skills keep getting better even though she was amazing from the first book I listened to.

if you like Sci-Fi Romance, this one is not to be missed, but I would suggest beginning from the first book to truly enjoy the series.

Love it

Love the story and love the narrator. Super fast listen. Vivienne Leheny does an awesome job on each of the characters voices so there was no confusing parts about who was talking.

Fantastic book!

I've read/listened to all the books in this series, and it gets better each time! I love the way you can see who's the couple in the next book in the series at the end of each story. I hope that the series continues for a VERY long time!

Kiss of Eon

Another great listen, but enjoyed the first 3 better. This one was lacking something, not enough spark maybe. Waiting for book 5 impatiently 😂

Another Thrilling Ride!

The Eon Empire thought people from Earth were inferior and ignored Earth for a long time. Now that the Kantos (bug-like aliens who want to use humans as a food source…) have set their sights on Earth and are attacking space vehicles from the Eon Empire as well as those from Earth, the Eon warriors are getting a better opinion of the people of Earth. They have had to work together and they are discovering hidden strengths within the human race that they hadn’t bothered to look for before. In this installment of the series, Commander Allie Borden is tasked with working with Second Commander Brack Thann-Felis to create some training exercises for both races. The humans have been fighting the Kantos for a while now, and are more experienced with creative ways to get rid of them. The Eon race has been relatively unscathed by the Kantos until recently. Now the Kantos are doing everything they can to keep humans and Eon people from working together.

Allie and Brack start out as adversaries. He thinks she is beneath his warrior status, and doesn’t think she has anything of value to teach a warrior like him. Yet, she impresses him from the start and he begins to see the wisdom in learning from the humans. Like most of these stories, Allie and Brack end up getting marooned on a planet with the Kantos in hot pursuit. They have to fight their way through Kantos bugs as well as through mud monsters and geysers. They have to repair a crashed vehicle, and make it fly again. Because readers expect an HEA ending, naturally everything gets resolved in favor of these protagonists. There are multiple fights against aliens, which adds excitement to the story; and there are many injuries that need healing. The warrior finally accepts that he has found his mate when his healian symbiont jumps over to protect her from harm.

The recorded version of this book is well done. There aren't any extraneous or unexpected noises and the sound quality is fairly even, without any jumps in speed or volume. There are a few pronunciation surprises; it is nice to hear the correct way to say some of these alien names! These stories are exciting and there is plenty of action. There are a few predictable portions in this series, but if the reader doesn’t mind this, the rest of the story pulls you in and takes you for a thrilling ride.
