About this listen

When Paige's mysterious and attractive boyfriend dumps her in an email, she decides that chaperoning hormonal teenagers on a once-in-a-lifetime trip is the perfect way to cope. Surely a summer in Europe will heal her battered heart. Best of all, she'll get to visit the historical sites she's spent a lifetime studying on someone else's dime.

Nick's life is in free fall. Being an undercover agent has never been easy, but lately the price has been too high. He's just dumped the love of his life for a secret European mission that resulted in the death of his best friend. Nick can't shake the feeling that there's a rat at the agency, and he's determined to track him down.

When Nick and Paige end up spending the summer together as colleagues, it's more than either bargained for. Sparks fly as they reconnect, and secrets become harder and harder to keep. Paige is determined to get answers about their breakup, and Nick is eager for a second chance. But as the investigation into his partner's death heats up, one kiss in the moonlight changes everything.

Dumped by email? That's harsh!

This book takes you for a tour throughout Europe, whether you've been or not this story will paint a mental picture of some of the cities there. Lovely clear descriptions and quaint settings make a great combination.

The characters are beautifully realistic and their interactions are at times funny and sad. They've got some really nice depth and it's clear the author put a lot of work into their creation and back stories.

There's a fair bit going on in this story and there's a good combination of romance and intrigue.

The narration is fantastic, the character voices are so good that I forget I'm only listening to one person and the overall delivery was a great match for the tone of the book.

I received a free copy of this book from the author and/or narrator and/or publisher in exchange for an honest review.

The ultimate second chance love story!

One thing that I can honestly say about Lindzee Armstrong is that she can tell a love story! In this case, I listened to "Kiss Me in the Moonlight" as an audio book on Audible. Between the great writing skills of the author and terrific narrating by Stacey Glemboski, I never wanted to turn it off. Not only do you have the heart-wrenching love story between Paige and Nick and all the back story along with it, but you have some nail biting drama and a little side flirtation between Layla and Tyler.

One could only hope to have someone like Nick so in love with you, that he would do anything and never give up till he won your heart.

Exciting Romantic Suspense!

Any additional comments?

Kiss Me in the Moonlight is the perfect escape for someone wanting to take a break from work/college or just wanting to relax for a few hours. Although I’m not a big fan of "second chance at love" stories, author Lindzee Armstrong has a knack for writing stories that are very realistic with believable characters and snappy dialogue. This book did not disappoint, especially with the addition of a little suspense.

The suspense angle arises when we learn that our hero Nick is an undercover government agent who broke off his sizzling romance with our heroine Paige in an email several months ago. He did so when he suddenly received orders to leave on a dangerous mission in Europe and didn’t have time to explain all the details. Soon after arriving in Europe his best friend and partner dies. Nick is determined that they were “set up” by someone within the agency and he’s determined to find out who.

Paige is a PhD student at Georgetown. To help her cope with Nick’s harsh breakup, she decides to chaperone a high school group of teenagers on a tour of Europe. Things go south for Paige when Nick shows up to chaperone the same European trip as his “cover” for his independent investigation. Not surprisingly, Nick still has feelings for Paige and he wants to pick up where they left off. However, Paige has a few very legitimate “trust” concerns about Nick and his sincerity. The rest of the story is basically hunting down the killer of Nick’s partner and Paige figuring out whether she can live with being the girlfriend of someone who travels a lot for work.

I listened to the Audible version of Kiss Me in the Moonlight narrated by Stacey Glemboski. She did an outstanding job with natural smooth overtones and subtle character nuances. I was totally immersed when listening to her narration and felt like I was watching a chick flick instead of listening to a book. Brava!

A great listen!

This was my first book by this author and I thoroughly enjoyed this story from beginning to end. We have a second chance romance that is wrapped in a suspense story that makes this an all around great listen. The narrator did a fantastic job with all of the characters. And I am off to go check out more books by this author!

Great Romantic Suspense

I am a big fan of Lindzee Armstrong and have read/listened to all the books in her No Match for Love series. While I really enjoy a good romance story, my favorite genre is mystery and suspense, so II was very excited to see the Kiss Me series.

Having been recently dumped via an email, Paige jumps at the chance to chaperone a group of young adults through Europe. Unfortunately a last minute replacement chaperone turns out to be Nick, the guy that dumped her.

Nick's life as an undercover agent dangerous and complicated. When he is sent on a mission to Europe he feels it is best to end his relationship with the girl that he loves. Unfortunately, the mission goes horribly wrong and he starts suspect that there may be a mole within the agency.

As they spend more time together as chaperones, the couple grow closer to each other and to danger. Will the two be able to mend their relationship and come out of their adventure safely.

I really loved this book! The story was well plotted and the characters were well developed. Stacy Glembowski did a wonderful job with the narration as well. I would highly recommend this book to others.

I was given this audio book at my request and am voluntarily leaving this review.

Romance and suspense in Europe

Paige, a history major grad student, figures spending the summer chaperoning a bunch of teenagers on a tour of Europe is a great way to get over being dumped by her boyfriend, with a 3 line email. She hasn't seen or heard from Nick in several months, so she's shocked and taken off guard to find out he's also a chaperone on the same European trip.
Nick is also surprised to see Paige as a chaperone on the tour. He still cares for Paige and only dumped her because he's an undercover agent and had to leave on a dangerous mission in Europe. His colleague and best friend died on that mission, and Nick thinks there's a rat at the agency. He's on suspension and only took the job as a tour chaperone so he can do his own investigating (on the side) to find out what went wrong on his last mission.
Spending so much time together Paige and Nick start to reconnect and Paige finds out why Nick unceremoniously dumped her. She realizes she loves Nick but wonders if she can handle having a boyfriend who's an undercover agent and always in danger. Then a couple of the teenagers go missing and Paige and Nick have to find them.
I liked the story a lot--the mix of romance and suspense drew me in. The main characters are very likable and I'm glad Paige gave Nick a chance to explain.
I think Stacey Glemboski did an excellent job with the narration. The story takes place in several countries in Europe so it has several different accents and foreign phrases which she did very well.

We'll Always Have Paris!

What better premise can there be for a romance than a trip to Europe? In this series of six novellas, each by a different author, we get a variety of tastes of travel--and love. Ah, but let's up the stakes and throw a secret agent into the mix!

Paige loves history and is finally getting a chance to explore Europe for the first time--as a tour guide to a bunch of teens. With her ex-boyfriend the spy. But wait! She doesn't even know what he does for a living. Including a fabulous virtual tour of Europe with the angst of love gone south, tidbits of history mixed with modern mayhem, this fast-moving tale provide chills and thrills--and the Eiffel Tower!

UPDATE: So what can be done to make this better? Why, put the book on AUDIO! Narrator Stacey Glemboski does a superlative job voicing the various characters and setting the right tone whether for love scenes (CLEAN) or chases (moderate violence), keeping you in the moment as the tale unfolds. I enjoyed the story even more the second time around.
