Publisher's summary

Gotrek and Felix: unsung heroes of the Empire, or nothing more than common thieves and murderers? The truth perhaps lies somewhere in between and depends entirely upon whom you ask....

Once companions on the greatest of adventures, Gotrek and Felix have long since gone their separate ways. Felix, married and settled, secretly craves the excitement of his youth. And when the opportunity arises, Felix embarks upon what might be his final journey. As the chaos of the End Times engulfs Kislev, Gotrek and Felix are reunited, battling the hordes of the Troll King alongside Ulrika, Snorri and Max. But when long-hidden secrets are revealed, these old friends will be torn apart, and not all of them will leave Kislev alive....

I had no idea what was going on but I loved it.

i am a 40k and HH fan. Never really got into Warhammer Fantasy or Age of Sigmar. But I know these two guys from seeing their art and stories. So when I saw the Kinslayer and Slayer books I thoguht they were a kind of rebooting the characters for AOS. Turns out I was totally wrong and most of the characters are from previous stories and tons of references to older stories so I barely had any idea of what was going on the whole time...but it was still a fun listen. It is a great story and i am sure if you're a fan you'll love it. Jonathan Keeble is awesome. That guy could read the phonebook and I'd find it enthralling.

Amazing and surprisingly emotional

loved this book, love this series. It breathes a breath of fresh air into the hobby. Well preformed and an amazing and surprisingly emotional tale top listen to. I only hope that the rest of the Gotrek and Felix stories are released soon

One of the best

It is all ending, it is sad, but in a spectacular way. As is all things for a Slayer

Praaaaaaag

I love Jonathan Keeble, but the way he says Praag is hilarious. Overall the fantastic narration I've come to expect from him, and the story wasn't too bad. Definitely not the worst Gotrek and Felix adventure.

I cried for 15 minutes in my car

I knew things would have to end a certain way for a certain character but… I don’t think a character death has ever hit me so hard. Johnathan Keeble you are a masterclass in voice work.

The beginning of tragic end

Fantastic, as expected of a gotrek and felix book. Hits the heart in a painful way, onwards to the last book of this incredible series!

Solid prequel for the new Gotrek series

While not the original, better series Kinslayer and the soon to be rereleased Slayer are fine companions to begin making more sense of the Realmslayer arc beginning in Age of Sigmar. This is the first part in the story of both how the Old World was consumed and how Gotrek is even alive many millenia later. Much more high fantasy than the usual Gotrek and Felix sword and sorcery these are pretty quickly paced and larger in scope than most of the series so much of the charm just isnt there. As an ending to the series they were a mixed bag, as a prequel to current times in Age of Sigmar theyre just about perfect because they may be rediculous but not as confusing as AoS can get.

Very much hoping there is the original series coming to audio as theyre some of the best examples of fantasy writing under the entire Warhammer brand and if theyre gonna give Gotreks background we at least need the Grey Seers as well seeing as hes somehow still around in "current" times.
