Former combat medic Kory Wagner survived four war zones, but not without psychological scars. Suffering with PTSD has become the least of her problems though. This one was really a lot of fun to listen to. Kory is out of the military and struggling with her sister's murder and trying to investigate it, dealing with her own PTSD from her years of service in the Middle East, and now it looks like the murderer is after her. The town sheriff is both irritating and sweet but she's not sure she's up for romance on top of it all. It quite simply has it all murder, mystery, thriller, romance and a good clean Christian tone that ties it all together. The narrator was great and a real joy to listen to.

Kory and Sean’s story will hook you on the first page. It has suspense, drama, romance, plus a military hero and a handsome sheriff! It will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next.

Very different. A female vet with PTSD is putting her life back together after returning from active duty. Not everyone is helpful. Someone is working hard to make her miserable and ruin her life, maybe even to take her life.

Great suspense with a bit of romance thrown in. Very enjoyable listen!

With everything going on in the world right now I've had more time on my hands so I've listened to more audiobooks and consequently have discovered several new authors. Anne Patrick is one of those new-to-me authors. I was intrigued by Kill Shot partly because of the series title, Wounded Heroes, and also because it features a female wounded warrior instead of the stereotypical alpha male in most romantic suspense novels.

A touch on the gritty side, but still well within the normal realm of Christian romantic suspense parameters, I found Kill Shot to be an enjoyable listen in audiobook format. While this is my first Anne Patrick book it won't be my last. I already have several more on my phone, including books 2 and 3 in the Wounded Heroes series, ready and waiting for me to listen.

If you are looking for a good romantic suspense in audio this might be a good choice. I didn't really catch any issues with the production or sound quality. The narrator is one of my favorites and was a nice match for the story. I hope she narrates the next books as well. All in all, not a bad way to spend a few hours keeping the mind busy when the hands are otherwise occupied.

Kory while in the military had seen it all, and survived. Her sister was murdered and she wanted answered. She hired a PI and also had a call that someone wanted to buy the warehouse. Both meeting were to be there , upon arriving she found her PI murdered, and someone wants her dead. She reported the murder to the police and then disappeared into the woods . The sheriff finally located where she was staying, intrigued by someone who could evade the search party. They work together and single to solve crimes. Strong believable characters, it also deals with the issues those Vets returning have to deal with. Excellent series and narration by Lenora
Woolworth added greatly to the story. Given ARC audio for my voluntary review and my honest opinion

This book is about Kory Wagner. She comes back from the war and has a few problems. Her sister has been killed and she's determined to find out who done it. There also after her. Sean is the sheriff and falls in love with her. They have to work together to catch the killer. Leonor woodworth does a great job narrating this book. I started with book 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it, as well as this one, moving on to No.3 now, it is so awesome to hear stories written by other born again believers who are not ashamed of our Awesome Saviour!!!!

Enjoyable Christian romantic suspense with emphasis on military veterans and PTSD. Although I sometimes found Kory a bit abrasive when paired with the ever-patient Sean, their romance resolved nicely.

This is an interesting novel dealing with Former combat medic Kory Wagner and the struggles she has returning to civilian life. She suffers from flashbacks and PTSD. When she returns to her grandfather's property, murder and suspense begin.

Sheriff Sean Harding tracks her down and they begin to get to know each other. They work together as well as independently to solve several crimes.

The Sheriff and others in the community try to help her restore her faith.

There is plenty of action, and a romance builds during the story.

I enjoyed this audiobook.




The narration was well done. The characters were well portrayed. Leonor A Woodworth gave an excellent performance.
