About this listen

Erin Miller was alone in the world after her Uncle Ernie died, but he left her a hunting lodge full of secrets in the Kiamichi Mountains of southeastern Oklahoma. She packed up her belongings and left Tulsa, determined to make the lodge into a home. Just as she was settling in and making friends in the nearby town of Kanichi Springs, events on the other side of the world and across America caused drastic changes in her life and the lives of all Americans. Erin and her friends soon found themselves struggling to survive and help others in their Kiamichi Refuge.

Kiamichi Refuge Has it All

A book about SHTF that has action, a little romance, weapons with specific names, adventure and intriguing characters deserves five stars and CA Henry's well written novel, Kiamichi Refuge easily fits that description. The narrator keeps the reader's attention with variations in voice tone for some characters, while not adding too much drama. We hope to see other works by this talented author on Audible soon!

Great story, awful narration

I love this story, especially because the main character is named Erin, like me! The story kept me engaged, but the sound quality of narration was really bad, and the narrator was awful. He spoke in disjointed sentences and was not easy to listen to. I usually love Audible books, but this is one instance where I wish I would have purchased the book to read.

Outstanding!!!!

Would you listen to Kiamichi Refuge again? Why?

This is just a great book. Entertaining for the whole family.

What did you like best about this story?

Its has a strong lead by a family friendly female character. A role model for other females to look up to.

What about Rick Vyper’s performance did you like?

Rick Vyper voice of Erin was great.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Erin is a role model and I cant wait to read this book to my daughter.

Any additional comments?

This is an outstanding book and it will be listened to over and over again by me.

It is not a full length book

It's only five hours, so that means a boatload of money should you read (or listen to them all). If the Outlander series can be 45-55 hours per book, then other authors are simply fleecing their customers.

Couldn't even continue after the first three mins

Any additional comments?

I can't even tell you if the storyline was good. The narrator was so bad that three minutes into the narration I had to shut it off and return the book. I could have done a better recording in my closet. It's a shame because the reviews from those that have read the book were great and it really sounded like a story I would like.
