About this listen

My husband traded me away to save his own life...and now I belong to the devil.

One night and everything in my life changed. Two words and my world turned dark: "Take her."

Owing the most ruthless crime lord in Garden City five million dollars, my husband chose to trade me and my children away to save himself.

I was on the cusp of freedom, so close to divorcing that scumbag I was married to. Now I'm enslaved to a man who is obsessed with me. A man so wicked and beautiful they call him Lucifer.

So alluring, he makes the angels weep with envy. He's so powerful, I can't stop myself from bending to his will.

He's determined to master me, and he won't rest until I give him all.

He wants my light, and he wants my dark.

He wants my body, and he wants my heart.

But most of all, he wants the one thing I can't give him. The one thing I can't bear to part with....

My soul.

Dark romance. 1POV. HEA. Standalone.

A dark romance with an alpha male. The narration was a little off for me, but it just may be me. The female narrator did great inflections and whatnot, but I will have to take a break before I listen to the next one.

Matthew (aka Lucifer) & Lilith (aka Lily)

*****Spoiler Alert*****

Audible review. Dual POV. Book 1 of 6 in the Disciples series. DARK romance. Narrated in an average American accent for the majority of the book and a terrible Japanese accent for a few side characters. While both narrators read well, Blake sounds like he is trying to growl & whisper at the same time and Beth sounds whiny during the female POV. One completely unbelievable plot point was how the lead female found out she's pregnant, I guess it was telepathy by a stranger upon seeing her. Trigger warnings: murders; removal of a finger; kidnapping; torture; dubious consent.

Matthew (aka Lucifer) is some type of gangster who loaned Lilith's (aka Lily) husband $5 million. When her husband doesn't pay Matthew back Matthew takes Lilith and her 2 children. A war begins between Matthew's gang and a Japanese gang. Matthew's true nature is revealed and a blood bath ensues.

Epilogue (9 months later) finds Lilith delivering Matthew's son. JP

Pretty good

Interesting storyline mafia style. Human emotions can be strange at times, the need to protect or defend one who has harmed you. Beth’s male narration left a lot to be desired. Blake was spot on. Will continue with series.

Liquid s*x in my ears

This was just what I needed. A tough bada** alpha male. Some blood and gore. And a lot of hot steamy sex.
The male narrator was like hot liquid s*x in my ears and it was brilliant.
I swapped between reading and listening and both the reading and listening was enjoyable.

Awesome book

Awesome book but the female narrator is terrible. Male narrator is great. Love this series.

Was a fun read.

It was an enjoyable guilty pleasure read, quick and easy. So I decided to give the 2nd and 3rd book a try, but very quickly I found I was reading the same book over and over. All 3 have basically the same plot layout just with different characters and “situations” that leads the two main characters together. So in my opinion, reading the 1st book is enough

Meh...

The female narrator ruined it. She made Lucifer sound like a grandma bribing children to eat their oatmeal when he was seducing Lilly. The story was predictable but it passed the time and was interesting enough to finish.
