Publisher's summary

She was my enemy...I was her new captor...

She was a tiny little temptress of a woman that made my blood sing for vengeance. I should be punishing her, breaking her from the inside out after finding her in my father’s clutches. But when I discover the truth that she is just as much of a victim of my father’s wrongdoings as I am, I can’t follow through.

I know then that I can’t break my little mouse. Not after she’s lured me in with her big blue doe eyes, strawberry blonde hair, and those pink painted lips that beg to be kissed again and again. I don’t think things can get any better, but then she makes me an offer I can’t refuse: her body, her virginity, and her complete submission. And she wants only one thing in return: help finding her sister.

What she fails to realize is that even after helping her find her sister, I can’t just let her go. She knows too much. She’s become a liability. But I have a plan to make certain she’ll never leave or escape me. A plan that involves filling her womb with my filthy seed until I make certain a piece of myself sticks, a plan that will make her the queen of the Rossi Empire.

Xander and Ella

Xander is a bit of a wild card, it was interesting to see him deal with his emotions. his nickname mouse for her was really cute and I loved that he used it the whole time. their relationship was very intense. you can see how someone in his position would react the way he does but at least he acknowledged his issues and took steps to correct himself. Ella was loyal even when he acted out and tried really hard to find her sister. they were an interesting love story and the narration is really good for both parts.

Keep Me – Ella (Mouse) and Xander

Xander was as much a b@stard in this book as he was in book 1. He is over the top alpha. I could not stand him but by the end of the book, he was a little better. He rescued Ella (Mouse) from his father who is still alive. He hated the fact that he was falling for Ella (he called her mouse). The book was really good but Ella did some stupid things like when she was just supposed to go to the restroom at an auction and come right back to the table. She sees her sister (that she had been searching for) and runs down a hallway. A man catches and drugs her. He then put her on the auction block for sale. Xander ends up paying $5 million to get her back. Then they catch someone in Xander’s home attempting to get to his son. He tells Xander that Ella is the informant for his father and he believes him. Xander flips out, strangles and shoves Ella in the dungeon where his father steals her. There is a lot of action in this book as well as eventual romance and not just s&x. Heather Firth and Austin Rising did a great job with the narration. Maybe I am getting used to him, but I liked Austin's narration much better in this book.

Trigger Warning Sexual Assault

There should be a trigger warning for all the books in this series. There is alot of detailed violence and sexual assault.

Also the male voice is bland and was hard to listen to. In the second book the female kept messing up the name of the male character.

One of my favorite Beck and Hallman books

Xander is one of my favorite characters, and I'm so glad these authors had him do some cameos in their other books. I do wish this book was a bit longer, but not enough to knock a star off.

Rinse, repeat Virgin Evil man

So... this is my third book by these authors. I didn't realize it until the same annoying rinse repeat kicked in. INNOCENT VIRGIN WHO DOESN'T EVEN KNOW WHAT A CHERRY IS... So when she has sex and is BLEEDING... she doesn't know what is going on and it has to be explained to her. SERIOUSLY? A twenty something virgin is a stretch... but to pretend she doesn't know what a cherry is? But what is most annoying is how this little virgin just brings out the kindness in the twisted perverse evil man... I only bought this second book in the series because the character of Xander held some promise.... Yeah, not so much... This is EXACTLY LIKE THE FIRST BOOK..... Trying to decide if I return this or bother finishing it...

Book 2 - the male reader… ehhh

Austin as a reader is not a good fit for this series. Book 1 was rough & I thought it was just me. His tone & delivery just isn’t it.
