About this listen
Can the unforgivable really be forgiven?
Meg Reynolds is a good neighbor, a congenial co-worker, a loving wife and mother. But when she accidentally hits a little girl crossing the street on the morning of September 9, it tests the very fiber of her moral character.
Unable to face what she has done, Meg hides the truth behind a protective curtain of lies and deceit, frustrating the efforts of Sheriff Tom Braxton and Captain Carl Winchester.
Torn between the urge to protect his wife and his desire to do the “right thing”, Renn Reynolds seeks the comfort of alcohol after eight years of sobriety.
Jessie’s parents Jack and Rachel Carter are devastated by the death of their precious daughter. Will they seek freedom in forgiveness?
Author Brenda Poulos is best known for developing flawed characters in need of forgiveness and creating plots that keep listeners guessing until the very last word. The fiction tragedy, Justice for Jessie, will prove to be her most suspenseful Christian suspense novel, yet.
Will there ever be Justice for Jessie? The journey of discovery starts here.

Story
It is an ordinary September morning when I nearly lose my little girl. My mouth is dry, my hands shake when I see that she has darted unexpectedly into the playground.... The place where my own childhood ended. Where I can’t set foot inside. As she wobbles on top of the climbing frame about to fall, a silent scream freezes in my throat. So when a stranger hears her cries and rushes to help, I feel weak with relief. I thank him as my daughter presses her tear-stained face into my skirt. Looking into his warm brown eyes and gentle smile, I feel an instant connection.

God's Grace and New Beginnings
Little Jessie Carter was so excited to be starting school that she got dressed and left by herself the morning of September 9th, which would be the last day of her little innocent life. Meg Reynolds left work heading for a doctor's appointment and accidentally struck little Jessie, and from there on her questionable mistakes turns turn everyone's life topsy-turvy. The storyline presents a twist that you won't see coming but will explain a lot about Meg and her reasoning.
The story is well written and deals with death, heartbreak, suspense, P.T.S.D, forgiveness, and most of all, God's grace. I will admit one thing I didn't agree with the sentencing, but otherwise, the book was phenomenal.
I listened to the book in one sitting because I became so invested in the characters and story. The narrator did a great job his voices really tugged at my heartstrings because he put so much emotion into the characters.I received this book for free upon my request. I highly recommend this book. I am voluntarily leaving my honest, unbiased review here of my own free will.
