I love the authors way to help you stay connected to each character and feel like you're actually there alongside

narrators ability to make each character come alive

I found the Novella disappointing because I loved Jem so much in the Wonderland series, and this small glimpse of his future was disheartening. The animated voice was not bad and the story was well written, but I guess I wanted him to go off with the Everly‘s in the end of it all.

Too Short!

I was happy to get a glimpse of what happened to Jem. I was hesitant to listen with the narrator being Virtual Voice, but it wasn’t bad. Better than many human narrators I think.

Pleasantly surprised

the story was good. I just wish it could have been longer and with a real person reading it.

the virtual voice kept running on sentences

I enjoyed this bonus coming of age novella sent in the Wonderland time traveling world. Since he was such an important secondary character, I loved learning what happened to Jem after he was no longer in Neve, Hugo, Archie and Frances’ lives and had left his father’s estate. Despite being short, the novella was well written and included characters with dimension and an engaging storyline.

This was a fun and quick story. Knowing how Jem’s life unfolds. How He grows into a Man.
The ending was short and to the point, would have liked more…but overall a good listen.

It was just too weird to listen to AI narration. The emotion wasn’t there, obviously. Lines that should’ve been more sorrowful or sad or just a weird prescribed intonation of cheerfulness. Just too weird but I love arena Shapiro and I love the Wonderland stories so the story is good. I’ll just have to read it on kindle.

Terrible AI narration

Too short, what happens to Jem?.. i’m interested to see what happens in the future.

I love Irina Shapiro’s Wonderland Series. Was very excited to have a little more of the story with this novella after finishing all 5 books. I was dismayed when at the beginning it was announced the narration would be with “virtual voice.” It turned out to be awful. There was no life to the voice, sounded completely hollow and fake. If this is the wave of the future - “virtual voice” - I might as well go back to reading actual books.

AI narration ruined this book

Good story to wrap up The Wonderland Series about what happened to Jem. However, virtual voice narration has no emotion or variation of characters. Thank goodness it's a short story!

Virtual voice = No emotion
