1333 A.D. - The lovely and educated Lady Aubrielle Grace di Witney is what is kindly termed an unmanageable woman. Her uncle, the Earl of Wrexham, has been awarded custody of his niece because her mother can no longer handle the head-strong beauty. Like a coward, the earl abdicates his duties to his most powerful knight, Sir Kenneth St. Hever with the instructions to transform her into a submissive lady. Aubrielle and Kenneth are at odds from the onset; Kenneth expects obedience and Aubrielle is less than compliant. When the battles die down and a strange, wonderful comfort settles, Kenneth comes to discover that Aubrielle is a lady with a secret. Because of this secret, her mother is murdered and Kenneth finds himself protecting Aubrielle because he wants to, not because he has been ordered to. Mysterious sects and a crazed warrior want the lady dead for different reasons. It soon becomes a test to Kenneth's cunning and knightly skills to keep his beloved Aubrielle alive.

Therefore, her mother, has left her in the charge of uncle, as her constantly evading the care of those charged with her care, is unseemly and improper conduct for a woman of her status.
In turn, the uncle turns her care to the only person, who seems to be able to prevent her escape, Sir Kenneth.
Thrown together, they begin to learn more about each other, and as various evil acts are committed by others, and unexpected situations occur, they learn to support each other.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?
Yes if they had read or listened to the first book "Dragonblade." It's a great sequel to the first book & I love Kenneth's love story. What other book might you compare Island of Glass to and why?
"Dragonblade" also by Kathryn Le Veque which is the first book in this series. The only reason I'd compare it to is because it is the love story of Kenneth St. Hever from the first book.Did the narration match the pace of the story?
Yes, great adventure & romance! Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
I really liked towards the end when the little knights came to Aubrielle's rescue.Any additional comments?
The narrator is not my favorite, but I felt he did a good job switching back & forth between the characters' voices in the dialogue.Great sequel!

Would you consider the audio edition of Island of Glass to be better than the print version?
I loved the book, so I decided to try the audiobook. The audiobook is terrific too- I love both mediums. The audiobook is more like a performance of the story, reminds me of theatre. Tim Campbell as narrator is terrific and brings the story itself to life- I really like listening to his work! What was one of the most memorable moments of Island of Glass?
I enjoyed the first few days that Sir Kenneth and Lady Aubrielle spent together. She was made his ward by her uncle as she was considered uncontrollable. How Kenneth dealt with Aubrielle and the situation had me laughing out loud.Which character – as performed by Tim Campbell – was your favorite?
I liked Sir Kenneth's physic, Argus. He had a dry wit and sarcasm. I also enjoyed Kenneth's second knight, Everett, he had many chivalrous qualities and was funny as well. Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
Once I began listening to the story I found it difficult to put it down, as I became involved in the story and characters. I found myself carrying my kindle everywhere to follow along! With an audiobook I can listen while I do other things, which is helpful.Any additional comments?
I really enjoyed this audiobook and would recommend it to a friend. I would love to see the entire Dragonblade trilogy on film!Quest for knowledge leads to love
