Now that George Chapman has upset the fragile truce between the warring statues of London, he has been drawn into a war that will test his mettle. He and Edie, a glint who can see the past, may have succeeded in their quest to find the Stoneheart, but their journey is far from over.

Edie and the Gunner, a statue of a World War I soldier, have been captured by the Walker, and it's up to George to save them. But first he must deal with the three strange veins made of marble, bronze, and stone that have begun to grow out of his hand and curl around his wrist. Legend has it that unless he successfully completes three challenges, the veins will continue up his forearm and eventually pierce through his heart.

As George struggles to find the strength to face the choice he has made, to take the Hard Way, he is determined to use his power for good - even as others wish to harness it for its great potential for evil.

This second book in the trilogy was a let down after the first one. There were some great parts and a thrilling ending, however it struggled to keep all the plot and all of the characters moving as one.

Captivating, enchanting, suspenseful, imaginative. The writer truly paints a picture for your mind and Jim Dale narrates the spellbinding tale superbly. Can't wait to hear the third book. Highly recommend!

Enthralling trilogy, Jim Dale is brilliant as ever

Our family listened to this story on a long trip and we all enjoyed it. We were sorry when it was over and look forward to the next installment. We are big Potter fans so it was like seeing an old friend to hear Jim Dale again.

This series is second in my heart only to Harry Potter. I listen over and over next to a browser so that I may see images of the statues in London.

this book, the second in the trilogy, has a slow start. but a very strong finish, makes you wanna jump right into the third and final book.

For those like myself who have yurned for a book with the same type of great writing as we experienced with HP well HERE IT IS. WOW - I am not a writer (OBVIOUSLY) but let me tell you this was one enjoyable story and listening to the talented Mr. Dale once again was music to my ears.

I ordered the first in the series since it is not available here and will anxiously await the final installment!!!!

Great Story Comes to life with Jim Dale

This continuation of the Stoneheart story was just as gripping as the beginning, albeit far more fantastical. Jim Dale does the story justice, almost making it believable, conjuring both the cold darkness as well as the warmth of human kindness. An enjoyable excursion from reality.
