About this listen

There can be no victory without sacrifice.

The Iron Wolves are a company of legionnaires whose legendary exploits date back to the Savage Wars. When they are invited to be guests of honor at a ceremony on a small, backwater planet, they look forward to some precious time away from the constant conflicts of galaxy's edge.

But when a neighboring country invades, disrupting the ceremony and killing innocents, the Wolves are forced to make an impossible decision. Aid a people pleading for their protection...or obey the cynical orders of their senate to stand down and see how the dust settles.

Taking their careers and lives into their hands, the Iron Wolves and local militia form a brotherhood determined to fight for what they believe in. War is on the wind, the battle is at hand, and the Legion is on the move once more.

Strap on your bucket, grab your blaster, and start listening today. The Iron Wolves call, and death is on the hunt.

Not legion material.

Compared to the rest of the galaxies edge series, this reads more like a points fever dream.

Wrong voice actor

Love the story but....the person responsible for hiring the voice actor got it totally wrong. The actor hired would be better suited for a pulp fiction story or romance novel. WAY too dramatic for the Galaxy world. Rant over. Story was outstanding, the only detract being the narration.

an exciting listen for long drives.

I love action, and that was in excess with this reading. it kept me going through long hours with exciting chases and high stakes, letting you settling in the anxious feeling of wondering "what next". the setting is fantastic in a serious of books I'd reccome to any sci-fi fan!

Cool lore

Good story and cool lore to build into the Galaxys Edge universe but the fluctuation in volume from the narrator makes the audible version difficult to listen to at times.

Not on par with the remainder of the series.

Characters are shallow and predictable. Narration lackluster.
Not a bad story, but unsatisfactory compared to the other Order of The Centurion stories.

EVERYBODY IS YELLING!!!

Yeah that sums it up. A lot of yelling, everyone sounds the same. And soapy forlorn romance

Least Favorite

The Wolves make too many bad decisions. At a minimum before going to the planet they should have had some intelligence about the rebels from the Legion, Dark Ops, or Nether Ops.

Great first glimpse into the Galaxy’s edge world

I absolutely loved this book.

I had the audible version and have since bought the ebook via kindle unlimited so I can listen and read together.

The narrator has the most perfect voice for this story. All the characters have unique styles and he manages to flow between each character flawlessly.

I hadn’t read the first book in this series before this one. But even so, the story was very easy to listen/read too, and it’s gripping from the very first chapter.
I’m going to go back to the beginning and read the first one right now!!

A lot of others have said that the old narrator was better, but having not listened to any others in the Galaxy's edge series, I cannot compare. But I thoroughly enjoyed listening to it.

My only reservation is that the voice of Jonathon Davis is so soothing that he kept sending me to sleep... so it took me a good few days to listen to the entire book!!

As a big Fan of Jonathon Yanez. I look forward to reading/listening to more of his collaborations

Great story and great performance

Well written story and a great narration.
Not as good narrator like original series, but great nevertheless.
