About this listen

Drew and Cleevs love hockey, but they love each other more. How can the men find a way to save what matters most?

Todd Cleever and Drew Simon are crazy about each other. They started dating three years ago when “Cleevs” was a rookie defenseman for the Chicago Ice. Drew, the team’s captain, was a few years older than Cleevs. Both men were deep in the closet, but it didn’t take long for them to fall in love.

Cleevs was traded to the Bethesda Barracudas a year later, causing a heartbreaking separation. Ever since, they’ve skated around the problem with occasional stolen nights together and brief vacations under the guise of “friends”, but two years of living apart have taken their toll.

As the holiday approaches, Drew and Cleevs decide things have to change. Still, with their careers and two professional hockey teams in the way, how can they score the game-winning goal and save everything they cherish most?

If you like fierce love, a smallish age gap, exciting hockey, and a steely determination to make things work—not to mention enough steam to fog up all your windows, and a fantastic HEA—this is the audiobook for you.

Ice Angels

”𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝒐𝒘𝒏 𝒎𝒚 𝒉𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒕, 𝑫𝒓𝒆𝒘. 𝑴𝒚 𝒃𝒐𝒅𝒚’𝒔 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒍𝒅 𝒏𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆 𝒔𝒆𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒇𝒓𝒐𝒎 𝒚𝒐𝒖."

Drew and Todd have been secretly together for years but are finally ready to be a true couple out in the open the way they’ve always wanted to be.

I fell in love with this book when I read it last year but my love for Drew and Todd grew even more listening to the audiobook. The connection and chemistry between them is undeniable and just fills your heart.

Nick J. Russo did another amazing job of bringing life to Drew, Todd, and their story. He has become my favourite single male narrator.

Ice Angels / Bethesda Barracudas Hockey 4 contains... mm, sports (hockey), out-for-you, established couple romance told in the dual first-person point of view.

Enthralling

Another enticing addition to the Bethuda Barracudas series, except one character plays for the Chicago Stars while the other is a Barracuda. Josh and Ryan does an excellent job of discussing the struggles of being apart, and their time together was smoking hot!

Nick J. Russo brings Cleevs and Drew to life, capturing their personalities perfectly. Their relationship was difficult, yet their love for each other held them together and Nick did an amazing job of bringing these emotions out to the world.

Drew n Todd's strong love for each other!

Just like the rest of Ryan and Joshua characters, this one struck a chord in my heart.
Drew and Todd struggling for three years to be together the way they want to be. And again all the emotions were there and Nick J. Russo narrator nailed everything just right.
Five Stars on all of it, Hat's off to writers and the narrator.

Sweet addition

This is a really sweet addition to this great hockey romance series. Living the writing by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood. As always, Nick J. Russo did an awesome job bringing this story and all of the characters in this series to life. Nothing better than a really good sports romance and this series is well worth the credit and your time to listen.

Engaging, Heartfelt, and Absolutely Unforgettable

This is the kind of story that grips you from beginning to end. It gives you hope, a dose of happiness, and leaves you feeling like you're walking on sunshine.

Todd and Drew are both characters you may recognize if you have read/listened to any of the previous hockey books by these authors. If not, you can still enjoy this book as intended - as a standalone. They had minor roles in previous books, but we never really found out anything about them. That was taken care of in this book. They are wonderfully written, and it is easy to forget they aren't even real while you read their story.

The authors are incredibly talented in injecting emotion and depth into their stories, and it is no different in this one. You feel their pain, joy, love, excitement - you feel it all. This book is perfect for anyone with any level of knowledge of hockey. If you are not a sports fan, you will still find a lot of enjoyment in this love story. I encourage you to read it no matter what because a love story is always worth reading if Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood write it.

Nick J. Russo does an incredible job once again. He is amazing at capturing emotions, and his range of voices is impressive. I could listen to him read a cookbook. That said, I do prefer a love story such as this one.

A moving and inspirational story

I love that this story started with an established couple who were very happy together and only sought to move their lives forward by living openly as gay NHL players. The stress of playing on different teams with different travel schedules had really begun to take its toll. When stolen nights were not enough, they became convinced something had to change. This story is beautifully written by Ryan Taylor and Joshua Harwood and incredibly acted by Nick J. Russo. His voice is perfect for these characters. The characters are voiced consistently and he is just so pleasant to listen to. I recommend this book to anyone who loves sports romance, low angst, plenty of heat and a perfect HEA.

SHORTER STORY GETS RIGHT TO THE POINT

Todd and Drew's relationship is well underway when this story starts. I love Ryan Taylor & Joshua Harwood's books because beloved characters from the earlier works reappear from time to time... more like a family which is exactly what they all are. Hence, I strongly recommend the books be read in order. Wonderful happy ending that will make you shed a tear or two... but they will be happy tears. As always, narrator Nick Russo does a great job!

While shorter than the other works in the series, this book was no less enjoyable.
