Critic reviews

"Tess Gerritsen and narrator Tanya Eby have scored again in this twelfth suspense novel featuring Detective Jane Rizzoli and Dr. Maura Isles.... Eby, who creates a remarkable range of individual voices to color the characters, employs a warmly gentle narrative voice and an easy pace. They're good choices, designed to keep listeners calm during the expertly crafted harrowing story. Do listen. Just don't listen before bed." (AudioFile)

The ending left me like what

This is the first book of the series I read and I liked it, a good old misery. Great characters and narration

As always, the twist and turns

I think the Tess should get a thesaurus. She is constantly using the word “monster” there are other words.

Lot better than the tv series

It's good to have Jane and Laura back and with an exciting whodunnit. The plot is very good.

good plot, narrator is ok

Plot kept me interested and it wasn't totally predictable. This narrator does a good job narrating, however she has a slight lisp which is sometimes distracting.

Poor performance

If I didn't love Tess Gerritsen and the Rizzoli and Isles series so much I would have stopped listening. The story is fantastic, however the performance is mechanic and almost painful in places. The over pronunciation of words such as not and to make it feel almost robotic

Another hit!

Tess Gerritsen does it again. I loved this book, it was well written, the narrator did a great job, & the storyline kept me guessing. I love the R & I series and I can’t wait for the next one!

Suspenseful

I enjoy a good story with twists and unexpected turns. Loved all of the characters and how they played their parts.

Amazing as Usual

Tess went dark, but damn its good. Finally we have closure on some character stories.

Poor narration

The the story is excellent, but the choice of narrator is terrible. This book much better if read. The narrator is a women and try’s to change her voice to sound like a man, and her Bostonian accent is comical. I have read the whole series of the Rizzoli and Isles series. Only used audible on “I Know a Secret” very poorly narrated
