Stop not doing what you know you should do!

You might think laziness, lack of willpower, and/or low motivation are to blame for the fact that you aren't achieving your goals. But fascinating research in the field of psychoneuroimmunology has revealed another, far more likely possibility. One with the potential to transform your life in a dramatic way.

The typical excuses for not doing what you know you should - I'm too stressed out... I don't have the time... I don't have the energy, etc. - are, in fact, manifestations of a complex, interconnected web of psychological, chemical, and neurological factors.

When activated, these factors can effectively paralyze you - making it virtually impossible for you to take the actions needed to create change in your life.

In other words, even if you're highly motivated...if you've got these internal circumstances operating, you aren't going to be able to do it.

But while the biochemistry may be complex, the solutions are actually quite simple.

Dr. Nick Hall reveals these solutions - and the fascinating science behind them - in I Know What to Do, So Why Don't I Do It? You'll learn:

  • An extraordinarily powerful stress-fighting tool that very few people take advantage of.
  • An easy way to instantly regain control and stay focused in an emotional emergency.
  • Six things to do when you think you've taken on more than you can accomplish in the time you have.
  • The mistake almost everyone makes when they organize their to-do list.
  • A simple exercise that can instantly tell you which side of your brain is dominant at any given time.
  • The first-thing-in-the-morning action that will literally reset your internal clock and have a profoundly positive impact on your energy level for the rest of the day (and it is SO easy to do!).

Should be called the science of behavior

The book was excellent not what I expected but the scientific evidence behind our habits and behaviors was very enlightening. Learned a great and would recommend it to anyone.

Exactly What I Wanted

I read some reviews beforehand, so I knew that this would be a little bit science heavy. Fortunately for me, that was exactly what I was looking for. This tied together a lot of things that I have been learning about in the past couple of years and really drive the points home. I also really enjoyed his sense of humor. It is something I'm going to recommend to a couple of my friends who really has the victim mentality. I truly believe that they could dig themselves out of their funk if they understand what is happening in their brain.

Excellent

I really enjoyed listening to the details on how the brain works. Unfortunately, it repeated the same information quite a bit. On the other hand, the behavioral tips (how to fix a problem) were useful.

Awake

I loved hearing how I had to change my thoughts in order to MAKE CHANGE!
The story helped with making a new template, for myself and no more allowing the same paths to take shape.

Fantastic book with lots of useful information

I learned a lot about how our brains and body's work and one of the best parts was Hall's methods of training yourself to react different to stress. Definitely worth listening to a few times.

Please re-edit the music in this audio book.

This was a great book. Really. But! The music that pop up between chapters and so on is to loud and to long. I almost quit listening to the book because of the music that is playing while the author is speaking. I had really hard to koncentrat on the author with the music playing.
Exept from that this was a great book. That confirms many things that I have thought of.

Recording of the lectures are very difficult

I'm only 3+ hours into the audiobook and while very interested in the subject, the lecture recordings are only about 50% understandable. I will continue to listen to the book but so far I'm only getting about 1/2 of the lectures.
