About this listen

New York Times best-selling author Karen Rose delivers her latest pulse-pounding suspense novel, in which the line between the virtual world and everyday reality blurs when it comes to murder.

Eve Wilson's face was once scarred by a vicious assault. Terrified and ashamed, she escaped to the online realm, where she could choose the face she allowed people to see. Years later, her outer scars faded and inner scars buried, Eve has fought her way back to the real world and is determined to help others do the same. Now a graduate student moonlighting as a bartender, Eve researches the addictive powers of online communities. When her test subjects begin turning up dead as a result of apparent suicides, she doesn't know where to turn.

Homicide detective Noah Webster is one of the few people who believe the victims are connected murders. Eve becomes Noah's online guide and realizes that the handsome detective may have secret scars as painful as her own. As Eve and Noah chase a killer who is always one step ahead of them, together they try to overcome the tragedies of their pasts and learn to trust again. But they soon discover that danger is much closer than they think.

Loved it

What did you love best about I Can See You?

I must have read this book some time earlier, still loved it but figured figured out villian too soon, which took away the surprised ending for me. Noah and Eve all both damaged and it makes them so real.

What does Elisabeth S. Rodgers bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

She did a great job

TOO MUCH ANGST!!

Would you recommend this book to a friend? Why or why not?

No it's not a book to get lost in especially if the main characters have too much baggage and they constantly whine about it...especially the main female character....all she does is whine...whine...whine...about what life dealt her..admittedly it was horrible...but then why the author saw fit to keep giving her a bad hand I don't know.....it almost seemed like one tough situation was not enough the author keeps putting her in situations where she's always in trouble...she gets hurt in the first book that her character was introduced in, then she gets kidnapped in another book and then...she gets kidnapped in this book too ...what's up with that?!

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

NO...!

Poor Eve

What did you love best about I Can See You?

as always I love how all of Karen's book characters intertwine and finally we see Eve's life

Did the plot keep you on the edge of your seat? How?

Yes for the most part, the twist into the book and how multiple stories all came together in the end.

Any additional comments?

Poor Eve she's had a rough go of it in Karen's book... give her a rest and let her have a normal life like I think David said "third times a charm" let's keep it that way...

Always good

Karen Rose has yet to write a bum novel for me. That said, this wasn't her strongest but I did love the continuity. Having 'met' Eve (and a lot of the other characters) previously, it was great to find out what she was up to. I'm a big fan of continuity.

Fantastic! No one writes thrillers like Rose does!

Another excellent book by Karen Rose. This is the 10th book in her series! We first met the main character, Eve Wilson, back in book 1, then again in book 4 (though we got little updates here and there throughout the series).

Eve is a fascinating character--a survivor in every since of the word. In this book, Eve struggles to overcome her past. She is pursuing a degree in psychology when suddenly, her thesis becomes the road-map for a serial killer! Women from Eve's psyc study start turning up dead and she turns to the only person that can help her.

Detective Noah Webster is a man trying to overcome demons of his own. He's fallen for Eve, despite the scars she bares from her past--and the ones he bares from his own. When Even comes to him with information on the Red Dress Killer, he's determined to protect her, because somehow, he knows that a killer has his sights set on Eve Wilson.

The Red Dress Killer does indeed realize that Eve is steadily leading the police to his door. She's proven to be quite a thorn in his side. He'd nearly been caught with his hand in the preverbal cookie jar and she's the only one who could have discovered the link between his victims...the only one who knows who's next.

This killer has plans of his own and Eve Wilson isn't the only person that's going down. Noah Webster, and the rest of the elite homicide team known as the HAT Squad are going to pay, because no one will get the best of this killer.

I just started a couple of weeks listening to Karen Rose books they are very addictive. My favorite is the Baltimore series. The reason I love her books they are very detailed and so suspenseful. I will be going on to the next one, the rate I'm going I might be done with all of her books by the end of the year .
