About this listen

Everyone knows that the early bird catches the worm, but not everyone knows how it’s done. Studies have shown that early risers earn more money. They’re happier and more productive, and perhaps surprisingly, they often report feeling better rested than those who get up late.

Waking up early exposes you to more daylight, which in turn increases the levels of serotonin released by the brain - and that means an elevated mood, a calmer outlook, and increased focus. When you think of it that way, it’s clear to see why waking up early would make you more productive. As a college student, you’re at the perfect time in your life to adopt the habit of rising early. Any good habit you form now will be the one you maintain for your entire life. And, with your career still ahead of you, the success you can achieve by adopting this habit now is incredible.

In How to Succeed in College While Still Having a Terrific Social Life, you'll discover:

  • A clear strategy for getting the most out of early rising, even if you think you’re not a morning person
  • Four key reasons why 5 am is the best time for you to start your day
  • How to design a bespoke morning routine that fits you perfectly
  • The secret to being able to fall asleep in 120 seconds or less

And, much more….

Once you’ve trained yourself in the art of early rising and have felt its power, you’ll never look back. So, if you want to succeed in college while still having a terrific social life, then you should listen to this audiobook!

Enjoyable audible

The audible was well narrated and kept me engaged from the beginning. It's a great view on balance during college and how to succeed and thrive socially all at the same time. It walks through the practicalities of providing that balance and would be really useful for those attending college. Would highly recommend it.

Great for students!

We downloaded this audio book for my daughter who is in her first year of college, she can be a little lazy in the mornings so we thought this audio book was ideal to help get her motivated in the mornings. It has definitely already helped, she's seeing the benefits of an earlier rise, not quite 5am yet but watch this space! Great audio book and nice narration.

Such A Great Book!

I am going to graduate from college at the end of this year and I wish I had read this book years ago. I have applied a lot of what the book talks about in my life recently but my life would be drastically different if I would have known them my freshman year. I highly recommend it!

Change your morning ritual to change your life!

I wish this audiobook had been available while I was in college. This audiobook focuses on changing your lifestyle and present habits in order to achieve your key goals by focusing on your morning ritual - becoming a morning person. The book was well-structured and narrated in an easy-to-understand manner, which I appreciated. The author offers helpful tips, guidance, and tactics for retraining your body, waking up earlier, and getting more done in a day. Despite the fact that the audiobook is set in the context of a college student, I believe it is good guidance not only for young adults in college but also for older adults who need to reorganize their lives in order to reach their primary objectives.

For anyone that wants to be productive

The section on “I am affirmations” was my favorite. Anyone can listen to that section. "I am affirmation” works on your subconscious mind throughout the day, and because the subconscious mind is actually the most powerful mind, this helps you to be a brighter, better, and more efficient version of yourself. You won't believe the difference it will make to your life in college or on the job if you listen to "I am affirmations" for at least thirty days, especially considering the fact that many college students work either part-time or full-time jobs in addition to attending classes.

When we are in college, there is typically such a strong emphasis placed on academics and achieving high grades that we frequently fail to give ourselves the time and attention that we need to be purposeful and to experience a feeling of mission."I Am Affirmations" is an excellent resource in this regard. You will be able to handle the challenges of college because you will be aware of what you must do in order to be successful, including seeking the assistance that you need, if you have a purpose in life. When you have a purpose and know why you’re doing something, that is a rock-solid foundation for motivation and getting out of bed, that everything else will click into place. The part where it says that you are the master of both your brain and your destiny is one of my favorites. That struck me as being of such significance. I tell ya—when I was in college, I was a night owl because I used to have papers that were due the next day, and I would stay up all night to finish writing them. Not because I am a procrastinator; I took a lot of credits or had a heavy course load and I went to a challenging college, which was one of the most challenging universities in the United States. In retrospect, I realize that I should have just gone to sleep; despite the sacrifices I made to complete those papers, those research papers aren’t paying my bills right now since I’ve graduated.

Additionally, if you don't get enough sleep, your brain is unable to function properly, which is unhealthy on both a psychological and a physiological level. When your mind is in a good place, your body will naturally follow suit and feel good. Listen to the advice of someone who has been there before. It would have made a world of a difference to me when I was in college if I had a book like this one, which is why I strongly recommend it to students who are currently enrolled in colleges and universities.

Master of the morning routine

I bought this book for my cousin who is 18 and going on 12. He needed this book badly to get a better sense of how to manage his routine and put his best foot forward. The chapter on morning routines has been surprisingly well-received by him as waking up was mind-blowingly hard for him! He has gained a new perspective from this book and is more excited and ready to go to university. I would highly recommend this book to any students about to embark on higher education as there are some great lessons and advice sprinkled throughout this wonderful book!

Great for students and parents

This audiobook is not just for those in college. It’s great for parents too. They can start these habits and teach them to their children. I found it very helpful and although I wake up early, I have learned great tips to be more intentional and maximize on the morning hours. 5 am is no longer an ungodly hour after this audiobook.
