Exceptional

The most important book on singing I’ve ever read. Weiner’s “de-influencing” message is simple but no less radical: self-love through self-exploration. Our voices already contain multitudes. We don’t need the quick fixes, gimmicks or techniques that others may pander to us. Instead, we need to earnestly dedicate ourselves to understanding who we are—what already lies dormant in our voices—and let that shine through.

His writing is clear and melodic. A fantastic listen that will encourage you to appreciate your own capabilities as a singer, an artist and a human.

Fantastic introduction for people terrified to try singing

I’ve never been someone to consider himself a singer or that I could be one. Gabriel’s book and story gave me some insight on some of the mental blocks and biases that have been holding me back from giving singing a try. Highly recommend for someone who is too afraid to try singing or is starting their journey and is feeling emotionally exhausted

A valuable resource to all singers!

Whether you are an individual that is new to singing or a veteran singer, Gabriel Weiner imparts honest, relatable, and realistic wisdom in this book. It is clear to see where he learned this knowledge as he generously shares his musical journey. This book is such a resource as a solid foundation for newcomers and as a gentle reminder to grant yourself patience and acceptance. Gabriel's Instagram is another great place to find these reminders.

Save your money

This book is all about how talented the author was even as a child and how great a teacher he now is. Curiously, there is little in the way of how to help those of us mere mortals who aren’t as talented. We’re somehow supposed to, as the title says, sing without thinking, yet a lot of work goes into vocal training. I wish I could return it, but sadly, I paid cash, so I can’t.
