About this listen

A DANGEROUS PRIZE

When Souma receives an invitation to a martial arts tournament, he has no plan to attend until he discovers two things: first, the grand prize is a single wish, and second, the daughter of his kingdom's former general will be participating. Her father was arrested as a traitor, and she has every reason to hate Souma and the Elfrieden Kingdom. Now, he'll have to discover her true intentions before she gains the power to start an all-out war.

a one woman Crusade for truth.

mio for the short time they explained her is a solid character. Plus who doesn't like a good brawl in a tournament fight.

Escalating political tensions are always fun.

The reader keeps misreading, what I'm guessing through context, marital as martial. It's just something that distracts me a bit from the story. Love the series anyway.

A Short But Important Novel

Going into this novel I saw how short it was compared to the others. So I guess I assumed it would be mainly side stories. But boy was I wrong. I preferred this one over most of the others because it didn’t beat around the bush on most topics and got straight to the point. I can’t wait for the next addition.

Finally

honestly I've been disappointed in the meeting that there'd be more drama more romance between the king and the empress but not bad. also I think it would have been better if after she wanted the tournament she became Queen and then became like a vassal state for the kingdom
