Enh...

The jumping back and forth in the timeline was really aggravating and the ending of the book was rushed and could have been done better. All in all, for Mark Lawrence oh, I'm kind of disappointed.

If a novel could be poetry....

Mark Lawrence got it all right in this book. Relationships are palpable and believable. All the characters are interesting--their decisions believable. The sci fi is thought provoking. The moral dilemmas of their successes and failures intriguing. I loved this book. Highly recommended.

Great Series!

Excellent story with a decent ending, but the resolution seems slightly rushed when compared with how thorough the rest of the plot was developed.

I am so happy that I bought this book. it is absolutely amazing. Mark Lawrence could be closing the distance between him and Brandon Sanderson for my favorite author.

Love this book; love this trilogy.

Nona Grey is my favorite character in all of fantasy. This is a saga that I will return to again and again just to spend some time with the Sisters of Sweet Mercy Convent.

Heather O'Neill is a great narrator. I think I'm seek out more of her work.

Fantastic! So worth it!

I had this preordered and was literally counting down the days till its release. I was not dissapointed! I found myself working through it slower than I usually do, trying to savor every moment. I even dreamed about the events twice, and I don't normally have book dreams.

No spoilers, but if someone asked me how I felt durring the build up to the final showdown I would have said "very worried". The author did a fantastic job weaving everything together into this beautiful creation. I had tearry eyes more than once, both the sad and happy type.

Without naming anyone I will say there were casualties of beloved characters. A few of them I didn't even realize how much I loved untill they were gone. I won't name them, but I will say they all had fitting ends.

So many secrets, so much suspense, it all unravels across the story in a way that makes sence but keeps you guessing. I was on the edge of my seat through the entire second half. I think this is the last in this series (maybe?) and if so it is a fitting end to a short but fantastic series.

not bad

Did good job of wrapping up the trilogy. I don't like books that are constantly shifting between time lines though and would have preferred if this book was written in more linear fashion. in this case I don't see that the time jumps added any value but it's not that annoying.

I wish we got more of sister cage on grey sister missions that was some of the more interesting sections in the book but typically stuck hearing about those events through sister kettle.

also felt very short but as alot of books drag on to much that's actually probably a good thing. you can finish this one in a day which is nice.

Epic and Emotional series conclusion

This series was a revelation for me, one of the best I've read in recent years. Without spoilers, the third book does a solid job wrapping up all the loose ends created from the massive story.

Do I have nitpicks about some of the flashback scenes and some unnecessary parts of the ending climax? Sure I do, but if you fell in love with these characters from the first two books then you can rest assured that reading this won't ruin the tale for you.
