A stolen test

A relationship in trouble

Parents too quick to judge

A teenage world upended

When Holly learns that a geometry test has been stolen and it’s being sold to students, she’s angry on a number of levels. It sure doesn’t help to find out her boyfriend, Wade, is contemplating buying it.

And when she’s caught on video by the principal with a number of questionable students being offered a vape pen, and the principal calls her parents and they ground her, she’s in disbelief.

Should she do nothing or try to find the thief and convince them to do the right thing? What would you do? Good thing she has Lucky, her Maltipoo mix, to comfort her.

This is the seventh book in the Holly Lewis Mystery series by a USA Today best-selling author and Amazon All Star.

light and easy cozy mystery

This is a nice little cozy mystery. It has good learning lessons in it. Holly has a high moral compass and is frustrated, rightfully so. I listened to this on audible. It was a good story and the narrator did a great job. Some have compared these to Nancy Drew, and I would agree with that. This series is almost more along the lines of a young adult mystery. If you're looking for a light easy read this is a good pick.

Thank you for a book I can share with Granddaughter

I’m thinking about gifting my 13 year old Granddaughter a copy of this book. I loved the way you talked about doing the right thing! 😉

Good YA mystery with life lessons

Holly and the Stolen Test is a good mystery reminiscent of Nancy Drew. I loved that good morals were a part of this cozy mystery. Dianne Harman has written a great series for teenagers, and Heather Robison narrates this story well.

Much ado about a stolen test.

A copy of a geometry test and their answers are stolen. Holly finds out that the test is available for a price. She feels it is an easy to pass the test as the students should study enough and they could pass the test on their own. This story tells of the reasons that the test was stolen and how Holly goes about trying to find the culprit and what happens when she has this information. I think this is a good story that goes past the black or white perspective and that there are gray areas that may be the answer to some situations. I was given a free copy of this audiobook at my request and this is my honest review.

Cute

Holly and the Stolen Test is a cute cozy mystery appropriate for any age, in my opinion. It is reminiscent of Nancy Drew. Holly imparts wisdom and life lessons while solving her mystery. The narrator did a nice job, her voice reminding me of teens I know.

New series to me

Dianne Harman is a relatively new author to me whilst the narrator Heather Robison is new to me and she did a good job with the narration.

This story reminded me a little of the Nancy Drew mysteries I used to read when I was a teenager and loved. Holly Lewis is angry when she learns that a maths test has been stolen and is being offered to her fellow students to purchase. She is even angrier when she is grounded by Bridget unfairly as she refuses to listen to Holly.

Holly is determined to investigate, bust she is shocked by the reactions of her friends. If she persists she may lose her friends as well as her boyfriend Wade? Is it worth the trouble? This story has some life lessons within about doing the right thing, even when you know it will make you unpopular and I think for teenagers it would be good for them to listen to this book.

Nice cozy clean mystery!

Would you steal a test and answers if your future depended on it? Or, would you buy a copy of a stolen test and answers if your future depended on it? Those are decisions the town’s local high school students are tested with. Who did steal the test? Love the story as it reminds me of my high school days many, many years ago. Only difference is the students in this story were sneaking vaping instead of sneaking smoking cigarettes! Even though it is about high school students I think adults would enjoy listening to a mystery that isn’t about the stressful realities of today! Good narrator.
