I really loved the thrill of this story. It took just a short while for me to guess who the villain was, but once I figured it out, I was solid in that knowing. This story kept me on my toes from the beginning, right up to the end!

I love how Eason weaves a true faith and trust in God throughout her stories. one of my favorite pieces of dialogue from this story:

Cal: He's the one true God. He died for you because He loved you so much. And that, you have to believe that and accept that when you die. Do you believe that?

Abby: Yes, I do believe that.

Cal: Then you've got to believe everything else He says, because you can't pick and choose which parts of the Bible are true, and which ones you don't like.

I love how the author weaves faith in God into her stories

The story was really tough to stop listening to because the suspense started early and just built throughout the story.

This is a good book that grabs your attention from the start. I liked that it was based on North Carolina. I enjoyed this book. It's got a good story line. I wished Abby didn't keep so many secrets from Cal and his family. She could have made better decisions. They were determined to try and keep her safe. Monique Makena did a good job narrating this book.

Lynette Eason has delivered another great book with suspense and romance, I listened to it in one sitting! I like how God is important to to the wonderful family and the person they rescued.
Another reason I love Ms Eason’s books is that there is no graphic violence, sex, or foul language!!

Another book I was completely wrapped into when the other Doctor was breaking I was screaming (luckily in my head) NO, NO !
