A healing guide that feels personal
I wasn’t sure what to expect, but this audiobook hit on so many layers—self-worth, unspoken pain, and the journey to acceptance. The reflections on racial trauma and beauty standards were especially powerful and eye-opening. I appreciated the gentle, honest tone that never felt preachy, just real. It felt like being guided by someone who truly gets it.

Spoke to My Soul in the Most Real Way
This book felt like a safe space I didn’t know I needed. It doesn’t sugarcoat the pain, but it also doesn’t leave you in it. The way it addresses healing, especially as a Black woman, made me feel deeply seen and supported. I’ve been working through past wounds and this helped me start showing up for myself with more love and less judgment. If you’re ready to grow and heal on your own terms, this one is powerful.

Great for every black woman to listen to!
This audiobook is great for every black woman to listen to - whether you're embarking on a self-love journey or not. There's a lot of self devaluation that is engrained into our minds, so it's nice to learn ways to overcome this mindset and start to embrace self compassion a little bit more. I also appreciated the section on embracing beauty and your own self image. Well written and narrated!

Learning how to help my beautiful girl
Last year we adopted a beautiful 10-year-old black girl. She is so smart and loving, but I could tell she was struggling with something I did not understand. Searching for some guidance, I found this book collection. I learned so much about her culture, and now I hope to connect to her on a whole new level. She was excited when I told her about the audiobooks, and now we are listening together. Our bond is tighter than ever, and I can see her confidence improve.

Self love is imperative
Self love is imperative if we are to start bringing about a reality that serves us more. Our society seems to have shunned self love and replaced it with a celebration of hustle, grind, and an achievement mentality. Which in moderation, isn’t so bad in and of itself. However, without developing the tools and mindful awareness to start treating ourselves with respect and care (and that means silencing the inner critic!), then we may find ourselves going around in circles and wondering why we just cant seem to ever feel fulfilled. Thankfully, Nya Love has mastered these areas and shares with us their path of success by guiding listeners by the hand into more empowering mindsets, practices, and habits. A fantastic start for anyone who perhaps hasn’t been treating themselves as kindly as they could have (don’t worry, it’s pretty common, but lets change that together!).
