More than just an eye opener

I don't agree with the concept of having the same

Pros: The author makes good points. Examine what circumstances in life make you react badly -- if you examine deeply enough, you will discover haunting hurts that you've been running from your whole life. His thesis is that you can never get away from these hurts -- and since you can't, they eventually colour everything you do & say.
Then he provides a way to be released from the pain of these hurts. He believes the hurts will always be there, but you can disconnect yourself from their pain. The end result is that they have no more power to indirectly control your choices anymore.
Cons: He says the same things over and over and over and over and over again. Each of the chapters so far simply rehash of the first chapter! I confess that first it was surprising, then it was annoying, then a little maddening and now it's rather distracting. (That's why I'm writing this review before finishing it. I'm not really expecting anything new.)
And it's not that he uses different illustrations to get his points across. He uses the SAME illustrations over and over and over and over and over again. In fact, in some chapters he even repeats himself in those chapters a few minutes later. (Who edited this book, anyway?)
For example, in the first few chapters he encourages the reader to make a certain detailed list. Whilst that is quite helpful, in subsequent chapters he also recommends making a detailed list about -- guess what? The very same things he suggested in the previous chapters! AARGH!
I'm giving this review only 2 stars because although I sincerely believe his [distilled] approach is probably helpful, after a short while I wondered why he's taking so long to say (and re-say) only 2 very important things.
All in all, I think this book will be useful, so I actually do recommend it. I'm just really surprised (and a little disappointed) at the way the author chose to write it.

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?
He just repeats himself in all 3 of his books....I kept wondering if i accidentally went back on the audio book but he is just saying the same thing exactly the same way later on...its ok
