About this listen

The harmony they create together may not be enough…

Rocker Jesse Pike’s chance at fame may be ruined when his drummer ends up out of commission. Jesse blames himself. If he’d been with his friend instead of shacking up with Brianna Steel, none of this would be happening. Now their big break as the opening act for Emerald Phoenix on a hugely publicized tour of Europe may end as they’re technically in breach of contract.

Brianna also blames herself. She put herself between Jesse and his band for purely selfish reasons, and now Jesse and his drummer are paying the price. She desperately wants to fix things, but she doesn’t know how.

Circumstances aren’t always what they seem, though, and a surprise admission from a trusted friend plus the arrival of a newcomer upend Jesse’s world. But the worst is yet to come…

Oh Jesse 🥴

Jesse to me is a jealous jerk I have read every book about the steel family but the pikes are haters what got on my nerves was them blaming themselves for things that didn’t have anything to do with them I was like Jesse get over your self 🙄🥱

What just happened!?

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Jesse and Brianna have a story to tell.. and it’s told so well!!

They continue their tour and it goes well… until Dragon overdoses and ends up in the hospital. There’s a lot on Jesse’s mind and this isn’t something he expected. He realizes his feelings for Brianna and they tell the others about their relationship… some take it well, some don’t.

There a whole lot happening in this book…. And the ending… I’m not saying what happens, just telling you to be prepared!

Helen Hardt is an excellent writer and I very much love the Steel books.. when is the next one!?!

Disappointed

Time for this series to end, not much family history was revealed. The story is juvenile

Brianna and Jessie Pike's story while on tour!!!

I have been a long time Steel Brothers fan and continued with this 3rd generation but I feel that these are just segments and not giving any closure to each of the couples that are hooking up. There is only one book left and I don't see a full closer coming.

Book 29 is a start of another relationship with repetitive banter and pillow talk, that really didn't enhance the full story. The most interesting part of the story takes place when they visit a former employee of their grandparents and found out where the rare orange diamond came from. The ending was a huge cliffhanger that can turn the whole story into a lot of what ifs. I sure hope Helen surprises us and gives us an ending that will be worthy of her amazing story telling.
this is only worth 3 1/2⭐ Narrators were good. so happy I listened instead of read because I probably wouldn't have finished it.

It’s just okay.

This book was kind of slow moving. I think now that we readers are used to the Pike family and Steele family intermingling some of the "surprise" has dissipated. However, in true Helen Hardt fashion that cliffhanger is a doozy and I will (un) patiently have to wait until the next installment is published!

Rushed and a tired story line…

I’ve really looked forward to these books my favorite was Ryan and Ruby’s love story. Things have changed. This story line was tired and didn’t go into the evolution of the relationship between the main characters, their emotions, things that give them pause. This book was absolutely terrible. It seemed like the parts about culture were awkward and had bad transitions. The narrators had terrible accents. I really like the story of this family and I’m sad to see the writer not putting in the effort to keep it going strong. She does put out a lot of books and I don’t read everything she writes but this seems sub par for her normal level of writing.

Too repetitive

So dislike I’m so deep into this series. It started out ok, but then it was just predictable and so repetitive. I think the first 3-4 hours was the same thing over and over again. And then to have it end the way it did. Like really? Come on. So glad there is only one more book in the series. So mad I’ve wasted all my credits with the series.
