About this listen

New York Times best-selling author K. Bromberg is back with a new Kincade sister and a swoon-worthy football player in an all new stand-alone romance that will make you believe in first crushes and true love.

I’ve signed numerous players to my family’s agency - I assumed winning over my next client would be just as easy.

The last thing I expected was to run into the boy who took my first kiss and broke my heart: only now Drew Bowman is all grown up.

Sexy. Scandal-tainted. Second-string. The crush I never got over.

I tell myself work is the reason I can’t get him out of my head. I tell him his talent far outweighs his position, and I know I can help. I lie and lie, because admitting that I want a second chance at my first love is impossible.

Some lines cannot be crossed, and ours was drawn in the sand years ago.

***

I’m supposed to hate her.

I’ve been told so time and again for 10 years - her father ruined our family, smeared my name before my career even began.

But that’s not what I’m feeling now.

Brexton Kincade just strode out of my memories and onto my field.

Driven. Determined. Grown up. The Capulet to my Montague.

Being with her would be an unforgivable sin against my father, but I can’t resist the pull between us. Even if it means hiding what we have. Even if it means confronting the secrets I’ve always feared were lies.

Fantastically intoxicating!

This entire series has been amazing to listen too. I really enjoyed this story! Family drama is something I am very familiar with so I could very much relate, but what really Drew me in (see what I did there) is the intense intoxicating connection two people can have. My heart is STILL racing. Thank you for another great story K. Bromberg!

5 Dreamy Drew Stars!

5 Dreamy Drew Stars! Another fantastic listen by K. Bromberg. This series gets better with each one. Scorching hot chemistry, witty banter and all the feels. Drew is absolutely swoon worthy but has the weight of the world on his shoulders. Brexton is feisty and strong and perfect in many ways for Drew. Throw in a second chance type storyline and it’s PERFECTION. ABSOLUTELY one click this AMAZING story. Narration is fantastic!

Second chance l💓ve?!?

I'd like to introduce you to...
Drew Bowman aka-Dreadful Drew
AND
Brexton Kincade aka-Bratty Brex
...childhood friends and each others secret crush when they were kids.

Drew and Braxton's parents were best of friends as these two were growing up. They were all so close they even vacationed together each year. That is, until something happened that drove an enormous wedge between the families. Then to top it off Braxton's mother lost her battle with terminal cancer and the Kincade family gathered together to support each other and time marched on.

Fast forward ten years to Braxton and her three sisters running a successful sports management agency with their dad.
Additionly, Drew has followed his dream to play in the National Football League as a Quarterback.

While Braxton is doing a little recruiting one day she finds the Quarterback practicing on the field after a game. Unbeknownst to her though it's not the first string QB that she's been recruiting that's practicing but the second string QB, who is non other then Drew Bowman. Her curiosity is peaked and she seeks him out to catch up. Little does she know the troubles the Bowman family has suffered through or where they've been through the years. There's just this undeniable connection that these two still feel for each other and now that they've reestablished a connection the pull is strong. There have been lies told though and enormous hurdles to get over. Will their second chance have a chance or will it be snuffed out by the lies? Grab a copy of this un-put-downable book and find out.

I loved the narration of this book. Maxine Mitchell and Joe Arden brought these characters to life. Great job you two! 💞

ILY KB!

I absolutely loved Drew and Brexton’s story. This is book three in the series. It could be read as a stand-alone. There are interconnecting characters and there is follow up from the previous story couples.

Drew and Brexton are childhood friends to lovers. It’s a long and winding road to being together again. The angst is in a lost relationship between their families due to something secretive with Drew’s father. I will say I have not disliked a character as much as one of the side characters in this story. Not liking the character is a testament to the writing, the feels.

I listed to the audio version and loved the narrator performances by Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell.

Childhood crushes turned love

Absolutely love this series! Brexton and Drew’s story is utterly engaging and beautiful. You feel Drew’s frustration with the parents that you want to shake his parents to put Drew out of his misery. Brexton’s love and support shines and you just can’t help but fall in love with this couple. Another late night, unable to turn this book off. Narration was Amazing!!

Suspense, forbidden love and an outstanding narration!

Still swooning over this sweet childhood friends to lovers story between Braxton Kincaid and Drew Bowman. My heart completely melted when they used the nicknames from childhood, “Bratty Brenton and Dreadful Drew” throughout the whole story! It’s a plot that is so enticing as their paths cross again now he’s in the NFL and she’s a sports agent for her family company, but yet also so many unknowns into their past that have kept them apart. “Two kids whose parents were best friends, who vacationed together and then acted like the other didn’t exist after scandal hit.” The suspense of the past and the forbidden love of Drew and Brexton will have you completely captivated on every page! Also, be prepared for so many incredible moments that will make your heart flutter!

LOVED Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell for the narration of this book! Their performance had me completely immersed in the story and feeling every bit of it! Their voices mesh so well together and help the story come to life! A phenomenal performance!

This one definitely scored!

When Brexton Kincade crosses paths with Drew Bowman, her whole past comes back. She's a grown woman, a successful sports agent and she shouldn't feel so flustered by running into Drew... but he was her first kiss and their families were inseparable until they became enemies. She's basically Juliet and he is Romeo in this scenario, and still her heart beats so much faster at the sight of him. She also can't understand why he's being delegated to bench warming when he's an incredibly talented QB and that irks her.
Drew is supposed to stay away from Brexton. Her father ruined his father's career, destroying their lives. But there she is, all grown up and irresistible and he'll have to face the secrets that he's always feared were lies if he wants a future with her.
Oh my word! This is my favorite in the series so far! Drew is that kind of tortured hero that you want to hug and bake cookies for and you can't not root for Brexton, who's finally realizing she never forgot the boy from her past. I was rooting for them so much! This second chance romance is absolutely sweet (but spicy!). I loved seeing their backstory and how they found their way back to each other.
Narration: narrated by the power duo Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell - a delight for fans!
