About this listen

All Mason Payne wants to do is keep his head down and quietly age out of the system, but when he has to step in to defend his foster sisters against a terrifying foster father, his life takes a turn he never imagined.

He's placed with loving foster parents. People who should make him forget about everything. Instead, they make him run right into his past. And his past isn't at all what he imagined.

His past is exemplified by Jules Dubois, practically Mason's reflection. And while Mason is aware he should hate him, Jules is hard to hate. He's nice. Very nice. And untouchable. No matter how much Mason craves him. No matter how much he wants to touch him.... Right?

Delicious!

This was delicious! I loved the narrator and thought he really brought the story and the characters to life. I'll definitely be re-listening to this one over and over.

Please bring on part 2...

This is my first book by this author and I was pleasantly surprised. A fairly quick read, the story and characters develop well and it doesn't feel like a cliff hanger at the end--though I do want to know what happens next. Of course I always want to know what happens next. I appreciated the inner struggle of both boys and how their relationship evolved. I wouldn't typically read books about boys in high school, but since they are the same age (clearly) and it's mostly about how their relationship develops within the context of redefining family, it isn't uncomfortable. I'm looking forward to the next book.

I loved the story and the narration was great too!

I read this book last year and i totally loved it! Brother incest is one of my favorites and it was so cute and lovely story.

And i had a chance to listen to it on audio, and i can't thank enough for this to Lina Langley, so thank you so much! I love listening to audiobook books i loved reading before.

Mason and Jules's story are so good, and i loved it for the second times too. The narrator was new to me and his voice a bit thin but it was great. For the first time it was distracting but after i got used to it it was perfect. Perfect because Mason and Jules are young and now i'm picturing them for this voice and it's good!

The story is so good i was listening some chapter more than once ;)

The book and the audiobook are great to and i recommend it! I can not wait for the second book!!!!

Great book!

I really love this book. It has a super story line, especially if you are interested in a bit of a taboo topics. The main characters had a great connection and I love the fact that they pursued with their hearts. I can's wait for the sequel.

Enjoyable Taboo

I enjoyed this taboo story of twins separated at birth who are undeniably attracted to each other when they meet. Mason has had a tormented life as a foster kid and when he finds out he has a rich brother who had all the benefits he never had, he sets out to destroy his happiness. He doesn't expect Jules to be nice and kind and helpful to him, and he certainly didn't expect to like him. There is a lot of angst as Mason tries to fight his attraction and keep away from Jules while continuing to keep the secret of their kinship. I kept reading eagerly wondering if they would give in to their feelings or not, and when (if) Mason would tell Jules the truth. If you aren't averse to twincest taboo, this story is HOT. The book ends rather suddenly with a HFN. I hope there is more to come.

The narration was superb. Mr. Weaver really captured the attitudes and angst of teenage boys. The delivery was smooth, natural, and well-paced

I received a free copy of this audiobook from the author. This is my honest, voluntary review.

Loved the Narrator, and Mason and Jules!

I loved the narrator's voice. The main characters are all 17, and he does a great job with bringing the teenagers to life. I loved the pacing of the story, and how Mason struggles with whether to tell Jules his big secret or not. I felt the ending was a little more open than I'd hoped for.
