Most irritating Narrator
I bought this book after seeing Dr Pedre interviewed in a Documentary. He is brilliant! I wanted the book so much that I didn't listen to the sample first - big mistake! I am so disappointed he does not narrate his own book. The narrator they chose has the most irritating voice and manner of speaking. The narrator reads in a manner that seems like he has no understanding of the material and its all just words to him. When he tries to inflect some emphasis into particular words it comes across stiff and forced. While I am suffering through it while commuting, it is distracting from the important info and what could have been a great audiobook with a different narrator.

Probably better in hard copy...
I got this book after hearing the author Dr. Vincent Pedre on a podcast, and I liked what he had to say. I'm really into the message of this book for the most part, but I think as any sort of plan to execute for 28 days, it's likely better in a hard copy of the book. I wanted to learn more about this program outside of the book, but was a little turned off that it's mostly the Dr. trying to sell his 28-day cleanse program and supplements on social media and his website. It's a fine book, but I am sure there are a ton other books out there for gut health that are just as good or better.

Great set of preventive practices
Many of us can create a more calm and effective life following patterns of eating, breathing, and thinking as laid out here. The key is to adopt the ones you feel best with daily, not wait and try to use them when you are in crisis, and already tense and distracted. Listening to the last chapter first can leas to gains to give you patience to address at least some of the more demanding dietary practices listed in earlier chapters.

just a basic overview
one of those books that sell you on a simple 5 step plan that describes how important each of these are, and why you desperately need this treatment; and then tries to sell you the own products which can be ordered from their website. 28 days of pills and powder for only $500. There are dozens of better gut books out there that don't try to scam you at the end.
