Couldn’t get past the virtual voice

I was so excited to listen to these retellings; however, I couldn’t get through the first story and how emotionless the virtual voice is. The story itself was intriguing and interesting, but the narration just kept ruining the experience for me.

The AI kills it…

These stories were equal parts clever and spicy. I really enjoyed the retellings. The AI narration, however, was just not up to Audible’s standards. There are so many talented narrators that could have performed this admirably give one of them the job of reading this book and the reviews will be much better.

The different points of view

I really enjoyed the way you spune a new world out of my childhood fairytales.

The way she blended Peter Pan with Greek mythology was clever.

I do not care for the virtual voice. It lacks inflection and mispronounces words and names.

it's like an overview with spice sprinkled in

it's so fast you can't even enjoy the story. Just glazes over everything so fast you can't get emersed

all around pretty bad.

the virtual voice was unacceptable, flat and without inflection, pause or emphasis, and sounded inhuman.

I could hardly listen past the opening chapter and stopped. The first story hardly developed, but seemed rushed and shallow...uninteresting.
