Acerca de esta escucha

The long-awaited conclusion to the Shandril's Saga trilogy.

The latest novel from Forgotten Realms creator and best-selling author Ed Greenwood is the third title in this newly created trilogy. This all-new novel concludes the storyline from two long-standing titles that were recently rereleased.

Be careful what you wish for.

Spellfire is the most powerful magic in the land.

It’s a dangerous weapon in anyone’s hands.

In the wrong hands, it can destroy the world.

Shandril Shessair wanted a taste of adventure. She got spellfire, and now she's fleeing for her life across Faern, searching for somewhere to hide. More evil wizards, warriors, and priests than she can count are trying to get it from her, and they'll kill or enslave her without hesitation. Her last, desperate hope is to take refuge in the sheltered city of Silverymoon.

If she makes it that far.

Loved the story. Cronin was good at voices, but I question his reading. There were times that I would have love to see the punctuation, as his delivery didn't sound right many times.

Good story, questionable reading

This book was a slog, way to many villians butting heads with eachother, the same scean repeated again and again that didn't do anything for the narritive. this whole trilogy was pretty rough and this book was the worst of it. read litterally any other of Greenwood's books before this they are far far better.

voice work on the audio book was still great tho!

Big oof on this book.

Awesome series

The title of this book should be called. Shandril and Narm get attacked over and over again. Because all throughout the book. That's all that happens. Rest attacked repeat. The narrators performance was excellent! Long drawn out tragedy of a story. That could have ended a book ago. Those Zents shure are persistent. I will give them that.

Shandril and Narm Attacked over and over.

little to no plot. poor narration.

Narrator was not Good! His diction and tone were passable however, his voices for the other characters was abysmal! The story did not feel as though Ed Greenwood wrote it. it feels as if it was written by another writer trying to sound like Ed.

Did Ed Greenwood Really write this book?! 😧

This book is one long fight scene beginning to end. Couple that with the horrible performance by the reader makes this a really hard, almost painful listen. Voices are inconsistent and aweful. Magic, and especially Spellfore, are far too powerful and abundant. Cults that were out of the pursuit are suddenly back in without explanation. As poor as the book was, the performance was worse.

One long fight

dragged out a long plotline then ends the story in needless tragedy because the characters and Spellfire can't exist for too long in his world without consuming the plot of all the stories.

tragedy

Half an hour in, and I'm ready to quit! I slogged through to the half-way mark, and I just don't care. The narrator tries his level best, but I just don't like what he did with the characters (Narm and Vangerderhast are painful). Honestly, if this was my first exposure to Greenwood, I would never buy a second--not even as airplane fodder. Just terrible writing, pacing, and just the fundamental story--it's all bad.
Don't even accept this as a gift!

The first book was OK... Not this one, though
