Not "read by the author"

Although the book is very good, it's not "read by the author" as indicated on the cover. Otherwise, it's Ann's normal witty entertaining style that makes this a keeper.

Funny but scary.

One of the funniest books I have listened to. Wonderful narration. This is a book that the media will make EVERY effort to demonize because it so factually accounting the many, many instances of media bias. A must read for anyone who thinks the news media tells them the truth.

Guilty

I recommend this book. It is one of Ann Coulter's best. It is very entertaining and is also spot on with its observations.

She's right.

I'll make this brief. I'd first like to say, she's got it right. The second thing I'd like to say is she's accurate. And the last thing I'd like to say is she tells the truth. Do you think a Democrat can handle this? It's a wonderful book if you don't run from the truth.

Perfect

Ann isn't trying to present both sides of the story. She is trying to bring forward the other half of the story that the popular media REFUSE to acknowledge. I challenge anyone to find a major error in her research. This is a great book. My only slight knock on it is that Ann didn't read it herself and I think the narrator missed some of the sarcastic barbs that require some additional tone (which Ann tends to supply in spades). It is a great book, but then really anything Ann writes is pretty interesting reading.

Old Wine in a New Bottle

Content -- Nothing in this book is new or shocking. Most of the content will be known by anyone who regularly listens to conservative talk radio shows like Hewitt, Levin, Malzberg, or Medved. At times, it's a disappointing reach back five or six years, as if she began the book much, much earlier and only now finshed it. Kerry and the swift boats...come on. GM was selling at $40 a share a year ago. Thngs change quickly nowadays, Ann. Attacking the liberal MSM for being biased is so tiring now. Yes, the voting public was shielded from the facts about our new President by a fawning and obsequious MSM. So, go buy a computer and try alternative media. CNN...what's a CNN?

Style -- Ann adopts a style aimed at shocking the reader with her candor...absolutely no political correctness. This works for a while, but then it becomes nagging and formulaic. She begins to sound like a conservative form of Bill Maher, or Norman Mailer in a thong.

Narration -- Ann doesn't narrate the book, but you can hardly tell it. The narrator does a very good job of catching the author's eye-rolling inflections for those of you who have heard her before.

Right on point. Full of nuggets.

Guilty is full of examples of media bias. Coulter is at her best delivering detail rich examples while keeping it an enjoyable, funny read. The narrator of Guilty did was very good. Not quite as good as Ann herself, but close.

Another Winner for Ann

Another winner for Ann Coulter. She just gets better, and has them down to a T. More Americans should read and learn for themselves.

Good Coulter, but ...

Although the narrator of this book does a very good job, we Ann Coulter fans still respond best to the cynical edge of the author's voice.

One minor factual nitpick --- unusual, given Ms. Coulter's strict adherence to facts --- a curious reference is made to an assassination attempt on Teddy Roosevelt's life in "1921" as he was "serving a third term". TEDDY Roosevelt never served a third term (only cousin FDR ever did). The assassination attempt was in 1912, when TR was RUNNING for a third term (and SECOND election, since his first term was the fulfillment of William McKinley's term, follwing McKinley's assassination), having been out of office since January of 1909. TR died in 1919, two years before the stated year of 1921. Perhaps the reader inadvertently reversed the last two digits, or maybe an editor or Ms. Coulter herself did so. But, the statement about Teddy Roosevelt's SERVING a thrid term is inaccurate.

Otherwise, Coulter at her finest.

Another Coulter Classic

As usual, Coulter is perceptive, articulate and witty. She pulls no punches and unapologetically tells it like it is.
