Great voice actors but cringe story

the short sample clip is missleading. Cringe op main character with cringe sex scenes.

Teenage fantasy written by a teenager

I made it through book 1 and part of book 2. This is a good value for 1 credit, but it is just not for me.

The story is a sword and sorcery tale that is really just a horny teenage fantasy. Expect butt, boob, and poop jokes. Character interactions are written as caricatures, and feel pretty hollow. Additionally, the MC is really just a head strong douche. Think lawful good paladin and everything that goes with that. There is a reason this archetype is used as a foil to more realistic heroes in other series and it is frustrating to try to follow him. There is also no reasons given why he is the only capable person in an empire.

This is presented in single POV. It also uses a tell not show narration style, which is frustrating. Instead of a description of characters taking action, you get the MC's internal monologue about it.

Overall, this is not a bad series, it just hits too many of my pet peeves. I am just not the target audience.

Eh a time sink

Story starts off well enough for a harem adventure. Eventually though it seems the author is just rushing around trying to reach the next checkpoint in his outline. Like the author just wanted to get it over with. There were definitely events that were suppose to be more significant and characters that were meant to be more significant as well in the story that were basically just glossed over for a quicker outcome. This gets particularly bad at the last 2 books. It also at times felt like there was no direction to the story. It’s either rushing one part and being lost the other.

Griff’s wives are pretty forgettable which isn’t good for a harem story. I was ironically more interested in the men as they seemed to contribute more to than just well sex. Their interactions seemed more real. Basically the wives get a nice intro bit, they have sex and after that it’s just sex and more sex, nothing really more than that, then they get forgotten for the new wife for a while and the next wife. Basically a process. New girl, make wife, sex, repeat. They’re all just cookie cutter harem wives. Honestly the author could have got rid of three fourths of them and the story wouldn’t have changed. Would have been more fair to the characters too if the author just did that.

Voice acting was good.

Overall i got this to sink time and it did that.

Good read. Don’t listen to the haters

The book is over 70 hours and it was good enough for me to finish it in a little over a week.I would say sometimes certain things like empire building in this book series focus too much on certain details and should have took a couple paragraphs not a couple chapters. The time could have been use to strengthen other parts of the story. For example there was a few times something would be introduced but then forgotten about completely ,but could have help the story out. Dead ends with certain characters or parts that should have been included. Seems like at times there was a page or two missing during the important parts like it was forgotten to be added. Obviously there was sexy parts with women but it wasn’t to long nor short. 18+ kids! The only people who hate this book series are feminists and overly sensitive women who wants a reverse Harem with a strong female lead. Overall great series wish I could see more of this Gryff the Griffin rider.

Great Series, Horrible Male Narrator or Director

Who keep hiring Daniel Wisniewski to narrate books, maybe it isn't him but the director. The while I was eating sounds were so gross and in every book it added nothing but cringe. Rebecca Woods work was awesome.

ok story, great narration.

the story was enjoyable if you don't think about the plot too hard. It was a little overly raunchy for my tastes. The narrators did an awesome job.

Great story, don’t love the zex scenes

It’s great for sure, but the zex scenes were a little much, I just skipped them and enjoyed the book a lot more. Also don’t really love the whole “sister wives” thing - it’s weird.

Loved the buildup

Character buildup was great. There was times I felt myself in the battles. I loved the stories within stories. I highly recommend this series. Thank you. Mike
