About this listen
After seven years, I’m coming home.
Studying in London was an amazing experience, but was it worth it? That’s the question I keep asking myself. It cost me a lot. It cost me Colin Hill. I’ve been in love with that boy since the first time I saw him in grade three. I thought that breaking up with him before college was the right thing to do.
But now, I’m not so sure. Because I’m back in town and I forgot how special it feels to have the big grump look at me with such possession in his eyes. I’ve forgotten how incredible it feels to have his strong hands on me.To have his arms wrapped around me.I forgot it all.
But it’s all coming back now. Stronger than ever. I just wish he felt the same....
This grumpy possessive mountain man is about to have a second chance with the perfect girl he lost years ago when she comes waltzing back into town. Making up for lost time can be so fun!
A SAFE second chance romance with no cheating and a super sweet HEA guaranteed. Double V-Cards! Enjoy!

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses. Yes, sold me. They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant.

Beckett: If you’re reading this, well, you know the last-letter drill. You made it. I didn’t. Get off the guilt train, because I know if there was any chance you could have saved me, you would have. I need one thing from you: get out of the army and get to Telluride. My little sister Ella’s raising the twins alone. She’s too independent and won’t accept help easily, but she has lost our grandmother, our parents, and now me. It’s too much for anyone to endure. And here’s the kicker: there’s something else you don’t know that’s tearing her family apart.

Story
After watching my mother succumb to a mysterious illness, I promised myself two things. I'd find the cure for what ravaged her and leave the godforsaken city where she abandoned me. Four years later, I received an acceptance letter from Dracadia University, one of the oldest most prestigious schools in the country. Nestled on a secluded island off the coast of Maine, it's rumored to be haunted by the souls of the mental patients exiled there centuries before, those whose bones are said to make up the island's white sandy shores. And restless ghosts aren't even its most daunting peculiarity.

I Enjoyed It
'Those dark brown eyes are just as intense as I remembered them. He’s staring at me, but his face is giving nothing. I can’t tell if he’s happy to see me or if he wants to throw me off the mountain.'
I read this book a couple years ago and enjoyed it. (Original ebook review below.) So I was excited to listen to it in audiobook format. Patrick Zeller and Kit Swann did a good job bringing Colin and Molly to life.

Original Ebook Review 5/28/23-
Loved it! I've loved this series from the start. Another fun and cute romance. This time the girl who got away comes back seven years later, and Colin isn't letting Molly go this time- at least that's what I expected going in. He's still very possessive, and grouchy. But she's not there to get him back. They're only catching up after all these years, right? He has to let her go for good.. 4 stars.

Really good book
This was a really good second chance romance. Colin and Molly were great together. These two were meant to be together but Molly left Colin heart broken when she wanted to pursue her dreams. Now Molly is back and wants to have Colin again. Colin wants Molly too but he has to overcome the pain that she left him in. These two are able to face their feelings and get a HEA. I enjoyed this book a lot. Patrick Zeller and Kit Swann did a wonderful job bringing this book to life.

First Love, Second Chance
I always love an Olivia T. Turner audiobook! I really enjoyed the narration. I thought both narrators were good voice actors, doing the voices of males and females very well. It’s dual narration, and each narrator reads a different POV chapter from Colin and Molly.
First Love, Second Chance is one of my favorite tropes and Turner does it really well. Colin and Molly have loved each other since the third grade and their seven-year separation has been hard on both of them and has turned Colin into a renowned grump. Their reunion is a joy to read about, the sexytime scenes are five volcanoes hot, and Charlie is a superbly cute dog. As always with Turner, this story is safe with a HEA.
Tropes: First Love, Second Chance, Grumpy/Sunshine, Double V Cards, J/P Hero, Adorable Canine, Ssearch and Rescue, Damsel in Distress.

Molly and Colin
This was such a cute story. Molly left Colin years ago to go to London to study to be a vet. They reconnect when she returns to her parent's house. I love how both of them remained virgins after all those years. Molly did something really stupid by walking through the woods and up the mountains alone and without her phone. Of course she gets hurt. Lucky for her, Colin was on the case after her mother called him. From then on, the story really picks up for the two of them. I highly recommend this as well as all of Ms. Turner's books. Patrick Zeller and Kit Swann did a very good job with the narration.

Magically Delicious!
Grumpy in the Mountains is awesome! Colin is the gruffest, grumpiest man on the Greene Mountain scene, and I’ve loved his appearances in prior books. I’ve been waiting for his story and it’s sooooo good! Molly is kind and sweet, driven and motivated. She and Colin have explosive chemistry and such a beautiful history—up until the day they didn’t. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Colin come unraveled for her once again. The perfect blend of action, drama, and irritating mama brings them right to where they are supposed to be. I just loved it!
Patrick and Kitt are amazing narrators! I’ve heard each of them in other audiobooks before and am a big fan of each of their bodies of work. These two really get into their roles and do an amazing job of bringing their characters to audio life. Patrick plays an amazing Colin—full of emotion and so expressive in his delivery. Kitt is an equally stunning Molly with her zest for life and drive to succeed really shining through.
