The only thing predictable about menopause is its unpredictability. Factor in widespread misinformation, a lack of research, and the culture of shame around women's bodies, and it's no wonder women are unsure what to expect during the menopause transition and beyond. Menopause is not a disease - it's a planned change, like puberty. And just like puberty, we should be educated on what's to come years in advance, rather than the current practice of leaving people on their own with bothersome symptoms and too much conflicting information.

Excellent info
I appreciate this book so much!! Thank you for this! The info provided really helped me to understand what's going on and I feel like I can better advocate for myself. Must Read for Grown Women!
As the child of a family practice doctor, I know a lot when it comes to advocating for my medical needs, but this book filled in all the gaps, made the fuzzy parts clearer and affirmed many things I thought instinctively but hearing from a doctor is reassuring and great! Such a thoughtful, well done book. Highly recommend!

A must-listen for women
I will be referring back to this book over and over again. Dr. Mallone provides such important health information - especially for Black women. She speaks in such a soothing way and provides so much data in context. I have told so many girlfriends to get this book. Thank you for this guide!

Very practical info from a caring physician
I gained a keen appreciation of and respect for estrogen supplementation when clinical signs, maintenance of health, and/or quality of life indicate the need. I recommend this book be shared and discussed. I loved the author’s delivery style.

So much information must read several times!
Every woman over the age of 25 should be reading this book through every stage of life. It was very enlightening and very engaging throughout every single chapter! I’ve learned so much about myself and how to advocate for myself in and outside of my doctors office for my body/health and mind.

It’s not too late even though it feels like it is…
Such a comprehensive summary of all aspects of what a woman’s can expect in life from the beginning to the end and have a reference place to review. In some ways it gives me great pause for the the time gone by that I can’t get back, but clearly I can start or reset for a better quality of life.

Great Read!
The book is easy to understand, great resources, and entertaining. Wished I’d had this information 20 years ago, but thankful for it now and the woman coming into these years.
