Publisher's summary

Booklist calls the world of Hugo Award winner Elizabeth Bear’s spellbinding Jacob’s Ladder series “magnificently populated, well worth visiting.” Here the trilogy that began with Dust and Chill draws to its stunning conclusion. The passengers of the generation spaceship Jacob’s Ladder have found a new home at last. But the planet Grail is already inhabited - and its population of genetically engineered humans has no intention of sharing the world.

All is explained

If you could sum up Grail in three words, what would they be?

A pleasurable listen.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Mallory. Can't argue with a levelheaded necromancer.

Any additional comments?

This final chapter brings clarity to the entire series, and is, as the others, a delight to consume.

Sooo good!

I love Elizabeth Bear and the whole Dust series, but this may have been my favorite of all the books. I really love Kenrick “the Sorceress”!

whenever she writes a series every book is better

first book's a little weird the second book is solid and the third book is mind-blowing.

once you finish this you can jump to the white space trilogy although at the time of the writing the third book is not out for the white space trilogy yet.

in the case you're interested in my favorite character is Mallory. Mallory is definitely my favorite 🤣😂

Could not get into this series at all.

Would you try another book from Elizabeth Bear and/or Alma Cuervo?

I'm not sure I would try another book by Elizabeth Bear unless someone I knew has read or listened to it and recommends it. It took me a year to finish this series. It usually takes me a week or two to finish a trilogy. I only finished the series because I paid for it but it was torture.
