About this listen

Equipped with a Holocene-class God-walker, Gunnar McConnell and his crew embark on a dangerous mission to outsmart Arvad and find the ancient coins before he does.

Immediately upon their return from a disastrous starship cruise, Gunnar McConnell is now in debt to the Aloysians and has no way to pay them back. To free himself and his crew, he must complete a dangerous mission. But first, he must fully embrace his legacy by participating in an ancient ceremony.

If he fully commits, he will be given secrets to his lineage and his Keeper skills and learn about the family he never knew.

But will this commitment force him to sell his soul to the Aloysians? If he survives the ceremony, he must embark on a dangerous journey to a greed-invested planet covered with lawless men and carcinogenic salt flats that are guarded by cannibalistic aliens.

Though armed with a loyal crew and one of the last God-walker ships in existence, unless he can find and bring together twenty-four rhodium coins that once belonged to the fallen Starship Keepers, the codebooks will be lost forever.

If he fails in his mission, the Aloysians will own him; the safety of the galaxy and his future as a Starship Keeper may become non-existent.

Once on Krenaisha, Gunnar soon realizes that the hunter has now become the hunted. As he races against time, facing fierce odds and powerful and deadly enemies he never knew could existed, he must kill or be killed.

Join Matt Coleman for another Galactic Heritage adventure as Keeper Gunnar McConnell and his crew hit the soliton wave, searching the galaxy for clues to finding the coins and the codebook, his past. If you're a fan of spaceships, suspense, and edge of your seat action, this might be the thrill ride you've been waiting for.

Imaginative

Imaginative with lots of twists and detailed narrative. Intriguing continuation of Galactic Heritage. I liked hearing Gavri’s back story.

Good storyline, lacks sympathetic characters

The storyline is intriguing, but predictable at times. The writer's style is repetitive and at times tedious. The main character is quick to speak slow to listen and stumbles through the plot. not sure if I will continue on with the series. was hoping the author's writing style and character development would improve in the second book. too much emphasis on squabbling between characters and long inner monologues of the main character.

Ughh. So damn trite and frustrating.

So, I purchased this title by mistake (I confused it for another series); I bought the first book in this series and absolutely HATED it. Since I cannot return the second book because I did not use my credits to pay for it; it’s not eligible for return. Anyway, I figured that I may as well listen to it, because maybe the second book is better than the first. Nope. Not at all. If anything, it’s even worse. Same repetitive, clumsy and nonsensical dialog. Same ridiculous, clueless MC (he actually is written even dumber than in first book). Same stupid plot with same stupid questions which never get answered (because the right questions are never asked), It’s just god-awful. Avoid. Or buy, if you like Anderle’s stock factory crapfests masquerading as “books”. This wasn’t churned out by the Anderle assembly line; it was apparently written by JN Chaney’s mother. Kudos to him for supporting his Mom, but, I feel no family obligations to do the same.

The story grows tiring

Endless growing with little movement forward. Juvenile characters with little action. The end of book one showed promise but its been backwards ever since.
