A Northwest Murder Mystery Thriller

If you could sum up Girls on Film in three words, what would they be?

Intrigue,Suspense and Satisfaction

What does Alexandra Haag bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her tone, inflection and rhythm kept me feeling the love and hate for the characters more intensely than just reading.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me want to cry but I was so happy to see justice served that I laughed more than I cried.

Any additional comments?

Alexandra's voice was perfect for this book. She showed passion and concern for the characters at all the right times which made me want to keep listening. She was able to project the voices of teens and adults very convincingly

Girls on Film

I am a big fan of Me. Olsen and have nearly every one of his books.
I thought I might go crazy if I heard the girl go over what she had, what she was going to do one more time.
The ending bothered me. I’m 70 soon and maybe that’s the problem. This definitely was not a favorite but I’m still going to keep reading and looking for more books by Mr.Olsen

Great

I loved this story! Teen girl was a hero and a puzzle master. Did not see the wife involvement coming.

Excellent in Every Way!

What did you love best about Girls on Film?

Girls on Film took turns and twists that were not only unexpected, but exhilaratingly suspenseful...and I remained riveted until the bitter end. I especially loved the fact that I could put in my earbuds, close my eyes, and still see every little detail, thanks to the wonderful narration.

What did you like best about this story?

Without giving away the plot, I must say that Girls on Film came from an angle, related to crime and victimization, that I've never ever considered, and unfolded, and unraveled, the backstory in a most captivating, and terrifying, way. Gregg Olsen took an idea and twist and turned it to make an incredible story full of suspense.

Which scene was your favorite?

My favorite scene was when the heroine is taking care of her brother, while they are hiding out, and she has to find shelter, food, and disguises for them both. I loved the sensitivity and emotion that was evident in the narrators style. The fact that this book was read to me, made it that much more powerful, and having it read so perfectly, made it even better. The scenes sprung to my ears, and instantly came to life, through the professional and polished sound of the narrator, Alexandra Haag.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

There were a few touching moments, when Riley was finally displaying outward affection to her brother, Hayden, that I felt myself tearing up. Also, I was tense, on edge, and a bundle of nerves, when Marie came into the picture. Her physical handicap, combined with her sociopathic behavior made her a most memorable villain.

Any additional comments?

I will definitely want to check out another title by Gregg Olsen. His writing style is relentlessly intense. It is also very literate, yet, readily accessible. Also, I've heard a lot of audio narrators, some good, others not so much. Alexandra Haag is now one of my new favorites. Her articulate narration style, incredible grasp of the characters, warmth, and tone worked to draw me deeply into the story and keep me FULLY there to the absolute end.

I like the author, he is very good but......

The book was OK but the Narrator was slowly torturing me....I could hardly wait for this book to end. I have never complained about a narrator before but I HAD to this time.
