Story
Modern women - who use psychotherapeutic antidepressants at a rate never before seen in history - need liberating now more than ever. The truth is, feminists don't know what liberation is. They have led us into a very boring dead end. Once those fictionalized stereotypes are out of the way - whether they're things that make you gag or things you think look pretty fun - Christians can focus on real women. What did God make real women for?

Story
Cracking the communication code between husband and wife involves understanding one thing: that unconditional respect is as powerful for him as unconditional love is for her. It's the secret to marriage that every couple seeks, and yet few couples ever find. While both men and women deserve both love and respect, in the midst of conflict the driving need for a woman is love and the driving need for a man is respect. When either of these needs isn’t met, things get crazy. Based on over three decades of counseling, as well as scientific and biblical research, Love and Respect is for anyone.

Everyone wants to be loved - to find someone who will stick with them through all of life's ups and downs, someone who is in it for the long haul. But in a world where dating is increasingly based on split-second decisions and geared toward casual relationships rather than marriage, it's easy for single people to feel discouraged, used, or unworthy of true love. Jonathan "JP" Pokluda wants to dispel the myths, misconceptions, and fairy tales you've believed about dating and replace them with the truth from the One who invented marriage and created you to crave a relationship.

Learn to find and play the role God wants most for you to play, not the ones you feel pressured into playing for the sake of others or even our sense of accomplishment and worth. Most of us spend a lot of our lives figuring out when to say yes and when to say no. How to manage our time, reduce stress, do our best for our families, find a little space for "me". But we don't find space for our souls until we learn to step past the yes and no of daily decisions and seek a third option: the best yes. The best yes is the choice that shapes all our other choices.

A life changing book
Where does Girl Defined rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
The best audiobook I've listened so far. Used to listen it in the morning before work, while drinking my coffe, and felt like I was among sisters who loved life and just wanted to be the very best they could be. It was great!
What was one of the most memorable moments of Girl Defined?
There was this moment when the authors talked about how God wants us to be good mothers and wifes, and then they said one of them is single and the other doesn't have children, but they weren't afraid to say they loved God and were His servers. As I'm single and childless myself, I often feel embarassed to talk about God's design for women, but to hear them felt so liberating.
Which character – as performed by Kristen Clark and Bethany Baird – was your favorite?
I loved them both!
What’s the most interesting tidbit you’ve picked up from this book?
It's ok to be radical about God's word.
Any additional comments?
I can't recommend this book enough for women of all ages! It's an incredible girl talk.

Unapologetically Christian
This book is amazing. It is so refreshing to read a book that sticks to the word of God in a world that is so quick to shy away for the sake of mainstream beliefs. Kristen and Bethany are modern disciples of Gods true word. I have referred countless young girls to this book and will continue to. This is a must read for every young Christian woman. I am in my 30’s and have had countless revelations from this book. Thank you so much for this!

Love this book!
So very thankful for what God is doing in and through these wonderful girls! And thankful that they are so willing to submit to God, stand for truth, and shine the light of Christ to a lost generation. Having had few Christian role models to look up to throughout my growing up years, I am especially thankful to have two girls slightly further on in the race cheering me on and sharing how I can better run the race for Christ with perseverance. :) You simply must read this book! :)

Such wisdom and good direction, highly recommend to any ladies that feel lost, no matter their situation. Filled with loving encouragement, guidance, and truth. Humorous and reflective. personally, I will be on my way to find a physical copy as well, so that it is easier to go through the study questions and more readily available to reference on a fly. The questions are read through quickly, so it is more fruitful to pause audiobook, write them down, and then answer them.
