About this listen

Second in the new series from the author of Heart Fortune, Heart Journey, and other Celta novels.

What lies beneath...

Clare Cermak's adjusting to a new man in her life - and a lot of ghosts. The passing of Clare's aunt gave way to a sizeable inheritance of not only money, but also the ability to communicate with the dead. At the same time, she met Zach Slade, a private detective with a rough past, and just like Clare, he's not yet ready to accept her gift - or his own.

But Clare has another matter to look into. A multimillionaire needs her help after relocating an old ghost town to his mountain estate. The bones of a murdered prospector are making nightly appearances in his guests' beds. When the gold miner's ghost contacts Clare, she promises to help find the name of his killer - but someone doesn't want the past revealed and might find her first...

As Good As Ever!

I love it. Clare and Zach are getting to understand each other better and their romance is mp ogres sing well. Zach is coming to terms with his own psychic ability and also helping Clare. I'm looking forward to Bk 3 of this series.

Enjoyable 2nd book

I enjoyed the story line, love the narrator. so glad not as much detailed graphic fanciful sex this book, I think it detracts from the story, do not get me wrong kissing, caressing, then heading for bed room is fine. I just need to hear step by step information.

Good new series!

I really am enjoying this series. The lead characters have enough flaws to keep things interesting, and the plot has some great twists and turns. Well worth listening to. There are some problems with the narration - one glaring one is that the Platte River is pronounced "Plat" not "Plate". Fun to have a story based in Denver that is pretty geographically accurate - and gives realistic times for getting from one place to another. The descriptions of the beauty of Colorado are especially nicely done. Give this one a try!

Another good story

This is another good story in the series. Claire continues to learn about her gift. Zach is over protective and beginning to come to terms with his gift. Overall it was a good story. The mystery and the characters were interesting.
