About this listen

Ghost boy returns. It is the mid-1960s and the US is in thick of the Cold War with the Soviet Union and Red China. The country's greatest asset is Ghost Boy, a young genius with amazing supernatural powers, and his eight foot tall steel and chrome robot, Pops. Ripped from the pages of Jigsaw Comics, Ghost Boy returns in this collection of four brand new adventures. A rogue army invades America; a giant monster from another dimension attacks a small western town and a cunning foreign inventor creates a machine to enslave the minds of his targets. These are just some of threats facing our heroes as penned by pulp writers Terry Alexander, J. Walt Layne, Erik Franklin and Lee Houston Jr. So hold on to your hats, pulp and comic lovers, the Cold War is about to heat up!

Super fun

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Sure I'd recommend to a friend. I listened to this while working out on my treadmill. It was a perfect length for a robust workout. The writers do a wonderful job in painting a picture of the times. Roger Price's voice is engaging and he tells the story effortlessly. When I was done I craved a beer and some carbs. While listening I was picturing a mish-mash of concepts booth historical and futurama, like. Quite enjoyable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I tend to be drawn toward female characters so I'd like to hear more from Elyria.

What does Roger Price bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Someone else's interpretation of the characters than my own.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

ugh I'm so not good at that kind of thing...

Any additional comments?

What a fun and imaginative comic series. "Vintagey"
