Publisher's summary

The Gateway to Africa, Ghana welcomes around a million tourists, aid workers, and business travelers a year due to its tropical scenic beauty and rich culture. It is, however, the Ghanaians themselves who make the biggest impression. It is through their hospitality and love of peace that Ghana has a claim to be the safest and friendliest country in Africa.

Ghanaians are welcoming to foreign guests, respectful to each other, and strong followers of tradition and have deep familial and communal values. Ghana comes as a wonderfully refreshing change, with valuable lessons to teach the outside world. Culture Smart! - Ghana helps to disperse the frustrations and barriers and offers the listener an opportunity to enjoy more fully all that this beautiful country has to offer.

Excellent & detailed info about the people & culture for tourists or business

I read this book because I might be foster parenting children from Ghana. It was an excellent resource since it's focus was on the people and culture, attitudes, gender roles, weather, topography etc rather than a history book though it does briefly touch on history as a way of understanding modern-day Ghana

Great Audiobook! Worth a listen!

Very informative and covers many details you would not likely find in a traditional tourist publication. A must if you are planning to travel to Ghana.

Very good, pre-pandemic resource.

Comprehensive guidance for both short and longer visits to Ghana. Clear, organized. An easy listen.

This book is a must for people visiting Ghana. It gave a great overview of the history, culture, customs, and essentials.

Narrator was excellent and easy to listen to. The book is very short so you wil also want to read additional material to learn more about the country.
