Story
Harriet Manners knows many things. She knows that toilet roll was invented by the Chinese in 600 AD. She knows that a comet’s tail always points away from the sun. And she knows that the average healthy heart beats 70 times per minute. Even when it’s broken. But she knows nothing about making new friends at Sixth Form. Or why even her old friends seem to be avoiding her. And she knows even less about being a glittering supermodel success. Which she now is - apparently.

Story
Harriet Manners is a geek. As if the Oxford English Dictionary on her nightstand isn't enough of a clue, there are also the weird looks she gets at school, and the way no one appreciates her extensive trivia knowledge. So when her friend Nat drags her along to a fashion show and Harriet is accidentally discovered by a modeling agent, she leaps at the chance to reinvent herself.

Story
Cassandra Penelope Dankworth is a creature of habit. She likes what she likes (museums, jumpsuits, her boyfriend, Will) and strongly dislikes what she doesn't (mess, change, her boss drinking out of her mug). Her life runs in a pleasing, predictable order…until now. Then, something truly unexpected happens: Cassie discovers she can go back and change the past. One small rewind at a time, Cassie attempts to fix the life she accidentally obliterated, but soon she'll discover she's trying to fix all the wrong things.

Publisher's summary
‘My name is Harriet Manners, and I am a geek.’
Books 1 – 3 in the bestselling, award-winning GEEK GIRL series.
GEEK GIRL
Harriet Manners knows that a cat has thirty-two muscles in each ear, a “jiffy” lasts a hundredth of a second, and the average person laughs fifteen times per day. She knows that bats always turn left when exiting a cave and that peanuts are one of the ingredients of dynamite.
But she doesn’t know why nobody at school seems to like her. So when Harriet is spotted by a top model agent, she grabs the chance to reinvent herself.
MODEL MISFIT
Harriet Manners knows a lot of facts. She knows that Geek + Model = a whole new set of graffiti on your belongings, and that the average person eats a ton of food a year, though her pregnant stepmother is doing her best to beat this!
But Harriet doesn’t know where she’s going to fit in once the new baby arrives. And with her summer plans ruined, modelling in Japan seems the perfect chance to get away.
PICTURE PERFECT
Harriet Manners knows more facts than most. She knows that New York is the most populous city in the United States and she knows that its official motto is ‘Ever Upward’.
But she knows nothing whatsoever about modelling in the Big Apple and how her family will cope with life stateside. And even more importantly, what to do when the big romantic gestures aren’t coming your way from your boyfriend…

Fun, light hearted stories about love and growing up
Holly Smale’s writing is very enjoyable. Her “on the spectrum” characters are relatable and lovable. I have enjoyed all of her books so far.

Couldn't get through it
I was hoping to get a fun read and really enjoyed the TV show but I found the narrator really irritating thousand ways that Wilbur describes Harriet as a baby panda or a baby unicorn or whatever made me want to punch things. This is one of the few books I'm returning.
