Publisher's summary
Many of us have forgotten how to move correctly. We live with muscular imbalances, constant pain and low energy. Adam Sinicki is on a mission to change this. He is best known for his YouTube channel The Bioneer, where he provides expertise on functional training, brain training, productivity, flow states and more. Currently popular functional training is exercise as rehabilitation. It aims to restore normal, healthy strength and mobility using compound and multifaceted movements. In Functional Training and Beyond, Adam reveals how we can become better than just functional. We can improve not only our physical performance but also our mental state. We can train so that we move better, think more clearly, feel energetic and even live more efficiently.
Functional Training and Beyond shows us how we can train our brains just like our bodies and how to incorporate this into a comprehensive, well-rounded program.

The field exploded opportunities for women in the 20th century by reducing domestic work and providing jobs as professors, engineers, chemists, and businesspeople. And it has something to teach us today. Danielle Dreilinger traces the field's history from Black colleges to Eleanor Roosevelt to Okinawa, from a Betty Crocker brigade to DIY techies.

perfect for new comers and advanced fitness
this book much like Adams YouTube channel is excellent for new comers and advanced fitness people. there certainly is something for everyone (unless your already a superhero). extremely digestible and we'll explained. very personable and shows much knowledge on the subject. I would give this book to anyone for general fitness or injury prevention. more fitness coaches or instructors should be pushing this mindset. I've told my 13 year old son to listen to this book. he has just started working out.
bottom line this is an incredible book.

This book is absolutely amazing. Adam does a great job of doing a deep dive into a multitude of different training options and describes the pros and cons with great detail. This is a book that you should absolutely read. You can tell that this is something he’s not only passionate about but something that he’s truly researched. This is probably one of the best books I’ve bought on here, and this is the only review I’ve ever done on audible. The book is that good. Thank you Adam!

If there is one thing I can say about this audiobook is that it is a great listen with lots of detailed research and information from the author. It was also a blessing that the author himself narrates it. All sorts of information regarding function and mobility and ways of training I’ve never even seen or heard of. Informative
I found some parts repetitive which in some areas was helpful but others were just repetitive.
The narrator does an excellent job of putting across the various advantages and disadvantages of certain training types in ways that are very helpful and kept my attention.
There are some parts of the book that would be better to read and see diagrams or drawings. But overall I found it a good book to listen to and go off to assess some of the practices.

Great Book by Adam sinicki
This was a well written book. It had a lot of great ideas and different approaches to training that really stimulates the mind. it was definitely worth the listen. I've definitely took a couple of concepts and incorporate them into both my training and routines. I've also incorporate some stuff into my normal everyday life. Thanks Adam Sinicki. I really appreciate the hardwork and effort you put into this book. definitely worth it 👍
