About this listen

The Red, Hot, and Blue was already crowded when the Georgetown posse arrived. People were all over the dance floor doing the Down and Dirty, Country Slide, Achy-Breaky, and other line dances this posse was unaccustomed to, but Chuck was truly in his element.

Before they were even seated, Chuck was on the dance floor, stepping in a line dance with the best of them. For a big, tall man, he was surprisingly light on his feet with well-coordinated dance moves. He didn’t miss a beat. He looked right at home in the crowd, and the women were on his trail.

David and Bill got up to try some of the steps in the line dance, but when the women started pressing Bill, he pulled Vivian onto the dance floor as his dance partner. Vivian didn’t protest. Bill looked too good in that leather outfit, and both men and women were watching him move.

In less than an hour, all of the housemates were dancing to the upbeat Western tunes as if they had been born listening to them all of their lives. Even Angelique and Miguel had the steps down pat. They were all yelping and calling with every step.

More in the family saga

This is the next installment in the family saga following the Montgomery and Alexander extended families.

Alexandra Ward has created such a robust group of characters. I love following their relationships and adventures.

Kelley Hazen has done a phenomenal job of giving each character their own distinct voice and bringing out their personalities. She is consistent with her portrayals across the different episodes in the series.

Great Characters/Families

I totally enjoyed this book. I love the characters of the Montgomery and Alexander families with good narration. They all have different fun characterizations and likable. Hate Carlton, what he pulled on Vivian in her stat, she should go with Chuck, and Benny and Stacy are becoming parents. I was given this free review copy audiobook at my request and have voluntarily left this review. Thank you

A Great Listen

I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the narrator and found it fun. More adventures of the Alexanders family, at times it can be uplifting listening, or heart breaking at other and sometimes you just find yourself laughing out loud. But always family and friends are cared for first. With interesting and intriguing characters to keep you listening, you'll find yourself listening much longer then you intended. It's very enjoyable and I'll have to check out more books from this series.

Intriguing

Another interesting story about how people that are racially different can get along. The narrator made the story easy to understand.

Great Read

Fruit From This Tree: Episode Two was a great read by Alexandra Ward. Vivian Alexander is a law student that had to end her three year long relationship with her college sweetheart. This was the only way she could have the career as a lawyer that she dreamed of. She also has a growing interracial passion for former basketball icon Chuck Montgomery. Vivian's brothers, Kenneth and Benjamin, are best friends but also complete opposites. Kenneth is the cool and calm president of his telecommunications company. While Ben is a young US Air Force jet fighter pilot. Unfortunately they both are falling in love with the same woman JeNelle Towson. I really loved reading this book and can't wait to read more by the author. I loved how Kelley Hazen brought life to the characters and loved her narrations.
