Publisher's summary

Calling all young magicians of Egypt! If the blood of the pharaohs runs in your veins, you can't afford to be without this guide to Ancient Egyptian deities and creatures, and Carter and Sadie Kane's world of magic.

Greetings, initiate! Carter Kane, here. Congratulations on reaching Brooklyn House in one piece. This accomplishment signals that you're descended from Ancient Egyptian royalty, and you have magic powers. But what good is power without knowing how to use it? That's where this training manual comes in. Packed with quizzes, stories, and insights about Ancient Egyptian deities, creatures (the friendly and the deadly), the mysterious Duat, and more, this primer will prime those with the blood of the pharaohs to take their first steps down the path of the gods. You'll hear from me, other magicians (including my sister, Sadie), and even a few of the gods themselves. But beware of tricks and surprises: anything can happen in the world of Egyptian magic.

The handbook with no spells

Good stories, some interesting things about the gods, too much time devoted to the quizzes, and no spells. The magician’s handbook with no spells is like a math book with no equations.

Great

It was really great I love this series but the narration wasn’t the same as the rest of the books which kind of bothered me but that could just be me😃

Funny and sad

The story was funny. Katherine Kellgren was missed in here role as Sadie. Fiona Hardingham performed excellentl as Sadie but Katherine will always be remembered as the voice of Sadie. While I enjoyed the story, especially the ending the Egyptian names, words where inconsistent with the Kane Chronicles and amongst the whole cast of this book. I’d recommend the book not the audiobook.

Not Sadie’s voice

I hate it when actors are changed in a series. Please stop doing that.

Also the full cast would not have been needed if you kept the original actress for Sadie.

Remembering Katherine Kellgren (Sadie)

Fiona Hardingham does a wonderful job, but it is important to acknowledge the passing of the first Sadie Kane, Katherine Kellgren, who was taken from us far too soon.

Katherine Kellgren’s family has asked that anyone wishing to commemorate her life donate to The Hispanic Federation to help the people of Puerto Rico.

Wish I had kept my credit.

This starts out great! Love the stories. Test was way too long and dumb. Sorry.
