About this listen
Kids today still love to hear stories that are set on the stage of the olden days of kings and princes and princesses. This audiobook recounts some stories that have been for the most part forgotten but which still hold many children's interest and provide them with well-needed laughter and smiles.
Spend quality time with your kids by listening to these stories to them. The frog stories in particular are not only interesting and humorous, but they offer a valuable moral: something that one should be mindful of, for instance. Most parents enjoy reading stories that allow children to use their full imagination to get a picture of what the author and narrator are trying to teach them.
Then there are the "Anansi" stories that also encourage the optimum use of imagination as they tell of how animals supposedly lived before now, or in another world. Anansi, who is known as the weakest among the animals of the forest, is also seen as the (sometimes) smartest animal. Because of this, most times he is able to get things successfully done in ways that the others would not even think of doing. This audiobook is a great and welcome distraction from the everyday realities that both parents and kids are faced with.

Narrator was the perfect fit for these stories
The frog story was very interesting, funny and provided an important lesson. I enjoyed the way the storyteller used her imagination to bring all these stories to life.

My grandson enjoyed the stories
We especially liked the first story about the frog. We found the story teller really made these stories come to life.

Couldn't get past first 5 minutes
The whole family agreed---the style of narration was really odd. We would not recommend this title.
