Benjamin Coulton is a tracker employed by the Consortium, the ruling council of vampires. When he's sent to investigate a rogue vampire killing indiscriminately in a remote region of Alaska, bad weather hampers his effort and he loses the vampire he's been tasked to find.

This was the second book in BL Maxwell The Consortium vampire series I remember reading the first one and really liking it so was excited to read it ( well listen to it since it is audio). Alan Jeffries is a great narrator. I really like the way he voiced each of the characters and brought them to life. This book is about Leon a newly created Vamp and Benjamin an older vampire jaded and pessimistic about life and love. Benjamin is trying to track a rogue vamp Samuel who may or may not have a connection to Leon. The two MCs had a lot of chemistry and it was scorching hot to watch and you can tell straight from the start that they were going to be mates. I found Joel interesting, he was under Samuels's thrall, and hope we find more out about him. I really liked this book and can't wait for more in the future.

I loved this book. Allen Jeffries really brings this story to life and makes you love the characters even more. Benjamin Coulton is a vampire tracker for the Consortium. He is sent to Alaska to investigate a rogue vampire killing people. Bad weather interferes with this investigation. He finds a newborn vampire left for dead by the vampire he's tasked with looking for. Can Ben unravel the mystery and save his mate before the rogue kills them all?

This book was even better than the first one in this trilogy. Following Ben & Leon on their quest to locate and contain Samuel was quite an adventure. I also appreciated the narrator's performance more in this one.

Loved the premise of this story!! Ben is a vampire and a tracker for the Consortium and is sent to find a rogue vampire. Leon is a newly turned vampire that Ben finds. Holy moly this was fantastic!! The evil one was truly evil, loved it! The story was well described, I felt the cold! Allen Jeffries does a good job with the narration, his distinct voices for the characters were good.

This Second audible in this Vampire series was exciting! Allen Jeffries is a fantastic narrator for a vampire tale! I am so happy Ben got his own Romance! Well not just a Romance! He got a lot of trouble and action! The Alaska setting was the perfect backdrop for this adventure! Nothing is more exciting than a Vampire Battle in a snowstorm! Enjoy!

Fighting an ancient, evil, and deranged vampire in the freezing cold of Alaska and finding his mate in the process. That’s not at all what Benjamin expected when he was sent on his last assignment for the consortium, especially because the vampire in question was supposed to be safely held captive in the Consortium’s jail!
Action-packed vampire hunts and fights in the breath-taking, icy landscape of Alaska, this book is superbly narrated by the always awesome Allen Jeffries .

This is book 2 in the series the Consortium Trilogy by BL Maxwell, narrated by Allen Jefferies.

In this story we have a returning vampire character, Benjamin, who works for the Consortium as a tracker. He was in book 1 as Lucas' best friend. The second main character, Leon, is in Alaska with his best friend working as caretakers over several cabins during the winter. There is no sweet or funny meet cute in this book either. You'll have to read it to see how they meet yourself.

Wonder if Joel will get his story next? Only time will tell.

Be sure to read book 1 before starting this one. You'll get some invaluable background information that will make this book even better.

I had so much fun listening to Ben and Leon’s story. I was intrigued by Ben when he helped Lucas and Brennan in Book 1!

It was exciting, action packed, romantic, fun and all around thrilling from start to finish!

Allen Jeffries did a remarkable job narrating. I could feel all the emotions come to life.

Editing team could have cleaned it up a little better in a few spots but this may just be my sensitive hearing.

Freezing Aversion is Book 2 in the Consortium Trilogy series. This is a fascinating story that had me on the edge of my seat at times. Ben is in Alaska hunting a rogue vampire when he comes across Leon, a newly turned vampire who was left for dead. Ben cares for Leon as they track the rogue vampire together and discover what they mean to each other. This book was a bit of a thrill ride that really kept my attention. 
Narrator Allen Jeffries does another marvelous job in this series.

Absolutely gripping from start to finish. Freezing Aversion is a perfect blend of suspense, romance, and supernatural intrigue—all set against the chilling backdrop of the Alaskan wilderness.

Benjamin Coulton is a compelling lead—strong, determined, and haunted by loneliness. His mission to track a rogue vampire becomes far more personal when he stumbles across Leon, a newly turned vampire abandoned in the snow. The bond between them builds slowly but intensely, with a depth of emotion that’s both heartwarming and believable.

The narration is excellent, bringing the icy isolation, danger, and growing connection between Ben and Leon to life. The pacing is tight, the action sequences are tense, and the romantic moments are beautifully done without overpowering the plot.

This audiobook perfectly balances dark mystery with heartfelt romance. A must-listen for fans of paranormal MM romance and vampire thrillers. Book 2 of the Consortium series does not disappoint!
